Great communication and work ethic! He was able to work with me on when I needed my furniture out and held my stuff overnight since I could not get into my new apartment till the next day. They were careful with my things and worked quickly to pack it all up in the truck. They wrapped my furniture (costs a little extra but worth it) and made sure I was completely satisfied with their service. Will use them again next time I have to move!

Besides a few broken and damaged items (which always happens), the packers and movers were great. They were very efficient and friendly. The owner was present for the pack and load, although I would never have known if I hadn't had an enormous problem. I received a quote via FaceTime. I did two complete video walkthroughs with the estimator, including opening cabinets, closets, and fully reviewing garage contents. The first was about a month before the move, and I was very clear that the final items could change based on what I decided to sell. The second FaceTime estimate was only a few days before the movers' arrival. Nothing was added after the estimate was adjusted based on the final FaceTime with the estimator. On the day of the load, I was informed that I would be over the estimate. I expected the estimate to be over or under by some, but never did I expect it to be 28% off. That 28% cost me over $3,200 more than the original estimate. At that point, I had no choice but to pay the additional charge. I could not secure new movers, and I had already paid them for 50% of the move before they would pack and load the truck. I immediately called the estimator, who was not very helpful. She said she would review the final inventory to the estimate to see what caused the variance, but I would need to wait until the next day. The next day, I called multiple times while driving 8 hours to our new home. The estimator never answered the question except to say she would talk to her supervisor about adjusting the amount and repeatedly reminded me that the contract stated any cubic feet over the estimate would be charged at an additional rate per cubic foot. As a last resort, I called the individual in charge of billing. She said I needed to talk to her manager, the owner. I called to speak to him only to discover he was the "lead mover" at my house for the last two days. Instead of having the conversation and being honest about who he was, I went through the hassle of many phone calls when we could have easily had the conversation and negotiation in the moment. As I mentioned, I did not expect the estimate to be exact, but a 28% variance is not acceptable. I am an accountant, and I assure you that I would be relieved of my position if I missed an estimate by 28%. Ultimately, he would not be reasonable and adjust some of the overage. I decided who to hire based on an estimate that was 28% off. If the estimate had been within the 5-7% the owner claimed to be the average variance of the estimator I worked with, I would have been happy to pay a 10% overage, but he would not budge. They would not begin to unload the truck at my new home without the full payment, so I was left with no recourse but to give them a bad review. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! I hate to say this because the guys who work for him are fantastic!

I like the fact that the owner comes with the crew to assist with packing and delivery. They even placed boxes along the wall to ensure no damage to the wall. I was able to pay a deposit and incrementally at the packing then the remainder upon delivery. .Just like all the other reviews, Rose is great! We immediately clicked upon the first phone call. I Iike the fact that the boxes come with your package, unlike other moving companies that nickel and dime you. They were able to handle my large TVs without a separate crating service with ease. The price didn't change after the quote and most importantly, they were able to move me on a Sunday and accommodated me for my delivery date. They even honored my government service in my quote. I had a full pack and unbox package, and all of the boxes didn't get unpacked (I had to ask some of the guys to unpack those that were not placed in the storage area), but no big deal. Most of the important items were unpacked and they searched through boxes to find items, upon my request. Plus, after unpacking all of my shoes, we were all tired and ready for the day to end! Great job Great Nation Moving! I would definitely hire them again.

One of the worst experiences working with a Pro. Poor communication, rude, and unprofessional behavior. During the negotiation with this Pro, we agreed on electronic payment terms through the Zelle or Venmo digital payment network. This was important to me as I wanted a record of the transaction without exorbitant service charge fees. Pickup was on time and well organized. Minor damage to the home, including scratches on hardwood surfaces. However, this pro did not communicate a specific delivery window ahead of arrival (beyond the 25-day delivery window). The first communication after pickup was about 90 minutes before arriving at the destination - despite repeated requests for a specific delivery window and repeated assurances they would not arrive before me to my destination. This resulted in the movers having to wait until I arrived as I was commuting across the country. While discussing with the director of operations, he refused to have the movers begin the moving process without full payment upfront. This was not acceptable to me since I would not be able to review the moving inventory and inspect the quality of my belongings. I provided garage code access, but they refused to begin due to the risk of someone calling the police. I agreed to pay a portion of the balance while I was commuting. We agreed to have the movers wait for about three hours. Additionally, he told me not to waste time as I was racing across the country. He then tried to say that he would charge me a wait fee. Upon arrival, the movers did indeed use the garage code and were waiting, suggesting the director of operations was misleading. The movers requested payment upfront. I paid through the agreed-upon digital payment options. The director of operations then halted the move because one of the payments was pending. As I tried to communicate with him after confirming payment with the bank and having confirmation sent directly to him, he would repeatedly interrupt me and would not let me explain the situation. He demanded an additional payment or he would put my belongings in storage and charge storage fees. This felt like he was trying to extort me for the previously mentioned wait fees. He would not let me propose a solution and extended this ridiculous process longer. After finally agreeing on a resolution the move continued. However, he halted the move again after the credit card form that was signed had one of the terms and conditions removed. Again, they demanded I sign a form with their terms or conditions, or additional storage fees were charged. If this company would have communicated the specific delivery window with at least a 24-hour notice, much of this could have been resolved. However, this does not excuse the behavior of the director of operations.
