The supplier of the genny, Generac, was 6 months back-ordered. Why? Pandemic, people now working at home, people had the money to invest in their dwelling,etc. Calvin kept me updated while we waited. Finally, it arrived and we got our unit ahead of Lowe's and Home Depot. His crew consisted in part of a licensed gas line installer and a licensed electrician. They work with him all the time. Not outsourcing. They were cordial, competent, and on point. Calvin knows what these projects cost and he is competitive price-wise for the DMV. I am not listing a cost because my home is different from yours and each dwelling has it's own parameters.

When I had my generator initially installed, I was not told that it was to be periodically maintained by an electrician. As a result, I never had it serviced. A couple of weeks ago, it stopped running on it's normally scheduled timer. I contacted Generating Power via Angies List. Calvin not only performed an oil change and filter, new battery, and other related duties, but gave me an education of the operation of my generator as well. He was able to schedule me in a timely manner so that I am properly prepared for the winter and any outages that my occur. For that I am grateful. Now my generator's performance is back on track, and I have Calvin of Generating Power to thank for that.

Calvin and his team did a great job. Professional from minute one. His prices were competitive with the big companies, but the service he offered was far more customized and he was able to offer the personal touch that the big companies can't. He and his team were able to think outside the box in working with the power company and upgrading the electrical service to the house. The big company threw up their hands and said they couldn't figure it out. Great work. I would certainly use Calvin and Generating Power again.

Very courteous and professional service! Calvin and his electric crew (run by LT) were easy to get a hold of and did a great job with the installation of both the generator and the new box for my heavy up. They procured all the needed permits and also kept me informed and were ready to get to work right away - as soon as the generator arrived. They came to the house a few times to explain in detail the installation and how to operate the machine. They were very helpful in exploring options for the placement of my generator and tanks and also communicated with the propane company to make sure everything went smoothly. They also rewired two bedrooms at the most convenient time for us and cleaned up well to make sure there was no dust in the house. I'm very happy I used them and glad to have a whole house generator and bigger box to accommodate my house. If I have any electric work I need to be done, I will definitely call on them again - I already referred LT to my workmate. Great to have a friendly concerned company for this type of service!

It went very, very well. Generating Power LLC was great, Calvin handled setting up great subcontractors who were all super polite, professional and efficient. I would hire them again and would recommend their services to friends and family.
