ELITE KITCHENS

About us

It is our mission to contribute our special expertise on Kitchen Design, Cabinetry, and Construction that produces a result as functional as it is beautiful. We will offer the highest quality products at reasonable prices in a manner that is professional as well as creatively inspiring. Most people don’t look forward to renovating a kitchen because they have no idea what to expect. Truly, who of us has never heard a horror story about the dust...mistakes... miscalculations...and time delays involved with a major home project? Here, we go over the careful, individually-tailored steps involved with creating your dream kitchen. While each custom project varies from the next, it remains an easy, 5-step process at Elite Kitchens. 1. Showroom visit: Your showroom visit will give you the opportunity to see our semi-custom to custom kitchens from the United States and Europe. We will walk you through our product line, explaining the importance of various styles, features and manufacturers of our product line. Here, we learn more about your needs, and help you identify the right kitchen for your needs. 2. Home visit and site measurement: The home visit allows our talented designers to visualize the project and how it corresponds with the rest of your home. Our design professionals will view the area’s color schemes, ambiance and overall feel. Then, the measurement gives us the final specifications needed to create the ideal living space you’ve envisioned. 3. Creation of the Design: Next, we create the design necessary to reach your goals. At this point, the designer will detail the approximate cost to make your project happen. Each estimate is tailored to your individual vision and choices. 4. Presentation: The client is then invited back to the Elite showroom for a full presentation on how we will make your project happen, from start to finish. Here, we discuss the design concept, decide on the product, and finalize the costing. 5. Once the client decides to go ahead with the project, Elite Kitchens asks for a commissioning deposit towards your exciting new home project. We will release the drawings, make any design revisions, and specify your selections. Next, we use all of our resources to get the ball rolling and putting you many steps closer to a brand new, custom-designed kitchen.

It went pretty good. The design professional was excellent in giving us ideas. They were clean and thorough. We had just a couple small issues, and were are still working on trying to get them to fix these things. Other than that, we were very happy.

For all the stresses a major renovation can bring, all at Elite, beginning with the kitchen designer, Olcay, the personal attention of the company owner, a master builder, Mati, and onsite supervisor, Paul, everything went like clockwork, with important work being done every day, as though we were the only project. While the kitchen alone, with Leicht cabinets and granite counters, would have been a very good value, Olcay's vision to open the entire first floor led to a more comprehensive project that was a great value: a renovated kitchen, opening the dining room with the kitchen and foyer, changing a closet, renovating the 1/2 bath, and reshaping the study and laundry room. Previously uninsulated walls and crawl space were insulated, corroded water pipes replaced, three Pella windows and sliding door installed, the bowing ground floor straightened with a new main beam, a strange double ceiling squared up, and LED lights installed. Quotes were firm, so there were no surprises in cost even when the Elite group encountered unusual problems with solutions created as needed. Contracts for appliances (ABW) and flooring (Select) were extraordinarily well coordinated. We lived in the house throughout the entire renovation; while naturally disruptive with Elite helping set up a temporary kitchen in the living room, it was instructional and allowed us to participate and observe the entire process. Each person working on the project were truly expert in their own right in the work done, and together, worked well as a team - a truly multi-international group demonstrating the best in design, craftsmanship, quality, customer care, and project management.

Eilte Kitchens did an amazing renovation. The owner Mati and his staff are wonderful to work with.  The renovation took 4 months from start to finish. Nadia did an amazing design which was tricky due to the age, size and location of the kitchen in the house. Mati and his team were professional, responsive and always fair.  I have my dream kitchen and cannot thank them enough!

I received three different designs and estimates for a kitchen renovation which included moving a wall, sink, windows, oven. Because the current kitchen did not function, the new design could not simply slap new cabinets where the old ones were. Nadia at elite kitchens knocked the design out of the park. She clearly listened and created cleaver solutions to the problems. The bid was higher but also included twice the cabinets space of other bids. She is great to work with and has helped me make decisions that usually take me weeks in a matter of days. Looking forward to a new kitchen in the fall. Will update review when work is complete.

We are happy with the entire team at Elite Kitchen and their work process: from design and material selection to workmanship, clean up, and follow through.  Elite Kitchen was the only group out of 4 contractors that had the clean, modern cabinetry we were looking for.  The cabinetry came with a wide selection of finishes with sturdy hardware and hinges.  The entire team was top notch.  All questions were answered in a prompt manner via email and/or phone call.  When necessary, alternate design options (for big and small items) and prices were provided.  Everybody was polite and professional.  I could not be happier with Elite Kitchen.  They will definitely be on the top of my list to remodel the rest of the house!

We are very satisfied with the kitchen results and enjoy it every day.  Friends routinely comment on the beauty and functionality of the design.  One of my son's friends with more experience in thesse matters than me marvelled at the quality of the workmanship.  The company provides a generous warranty.  That motivates them to do a quality job and use quality products to minimize the need for customers to need to exercise that warranty.  Personnel uniformly experienced, competent, and friendly from designer Dan Prozeller and project manager Paul Spangler to the plumber and sheetrock folks.  Compared to other contractors, the attention to nightly clean-up and placing tools safely out of reach was exceptional.  Answered all of our questions.  Designer Dan Prozeller was the perfect combination.  Plenty of recommendations based upon his expertise but attentive to our ideas and willing to adapt to implement them.  Project manager Paul Spangler exceptionally talanted and a joy to work with.  This company deserves its high rating.  I wish that I were a more gifted writer to express just how outstanding the job is that they performed.

We couldn't have asked for a more professional crew.  They were there when they said they would be there.  They cleaned up every day.  They did not place an ugly dumpster out front, but rather trucked trash away themselves.  The crew was professional, friendly, trustworthy and extremely competent.  We're pretty picky and they did most things right the first time.  When we didn't like something, there was no argument or explanation--it was just fixed.
As you can tell by the cost, this was a major renovation and the initial estimate of 4-6 weeks was overly optimistic.  It ended up being 8-9 weeks.  But the result was simply amazing.  It is truly a dream kitchen.  When it comes time to sell this house, it will be the kitchen that sells it.
There were a number of custom features which they handled with aplomb.  They offered suggestions but never tried to force anything on us.  There were very few "fait accomplis" where something was done when we should have been asked first.  And, if we didn't like what they did, it was changed to our liking.
Best of all, we weren't "nickeled and dimed."  The final price we paid was what we contracted for.  We weren't hit up with change orders, which is where a lot of contractors try to make their money.
I don't think we could be more positive in our praise.

Experience with designer (Olcay) prior to the work being done was good. She came up with a beautiful design and went with me to suppliers to choose tile and counter top material. We decided upon using wood for baseboards versus tile, which I preferred and the designer stated would look more "classic". We choose the tile at the tile showroom, however the smallest tile which was supposed to match the larger ones was unavailable to view. Prior to the actual work being done, the project manager sent us a very detailed, several page questionnaire dealing with such things as where the workers should place supplies and refuse. When the work actually started, not ONE of the issues we addressed in the questionnaire was followed according to our wishes. The tile installers did beautiful work. They installed tile baseboards. When I asked Olcay about this, she stated that she had changed the design because it would look better-she had never discussed this with us beforehand. The smallest tile which was supposed to match the larger ones I had viewed in the showroom actually did not exactly match the others-it was distressed, whereas  the other tiles used were smooth. I wasn't happy with this, and addressed this with the owner. It was never resolved to my satisfaction (they offered to tear everything out and start over again, but after 3 weeks of having my house dusty and having workers in and out, I couldn't face it! I asked for a price reduction instead and was given a token one.) The owner was very defensive and difficult to deal with.

We entered the project with no remodeling experience, so we did a LOT of homework.  I recommend the Kitchens forum of ths.gardenweb.com for information on planning all aspects of kitchen remodeling.
By the time we selected Elite after numerous interviews with potential contractors, we pretty much knew what we wanted.  I think that really contributed to success of the project.
The design and planning went smoothly.  Elite talked us out of some things and made some very good suggestions.  Then, a United Nations of absolutely meticulous craftsmen from Russia, Israel, Guatamala, Moldova, etc., did the work.  There were no communications or scheduling problems; all craftsmen were punctual, professional, and polite.  Elite came up with an elegant and original design for the ceramic tile backsplash, and the craftsman executed it perfectly.
When the cabinets were being installed, the wiring for our doorbell was cut, which was not discovered until close to the end of the project.  Elite installed a new wireless doorbell.
Elite does not supply appliances or flooring.  They suggested DADs of Beltsville, MD, from whom we bought all appliances except the LG refrigerator, which DADs did not carry.  Elite coordinated with DADs for appliance delivery and then took care of all installation.  Elite rebuilt the subfloor and coordinated the floor portion of the job, but the actual Duraceramic floor was purchased from and installed by another contractor that we selected.
Scheduling and coordination of all aspects of the job was perfect.   The whole job was on time and on budget.  We are extremely pleased.

of The vast majority of the work was completed in 3 weeks. We had difficulty with shelves that were to be installed on either side of the window above the sink. The manufacturer made the shelves the wrong size a number of times before getting it right. We held final payment until the correct shelves were installed. There was a minor communication issue concerning removal of protective cardboard on our floor after the work was completed. Their workmanship was very professional and very well done. I WOULD recommend them for a kitchen remodel.

We had always heard that kitchen replacement could be a nightmare.  Bob, our salesman answered all the questions we needed to know before we ordered, and even answered some we did not know that we needed to know.  The complete removal and installation took a total of three weeks, start to end.  No nightmare... just  a dream.  Workmen were professional, prompt, punctual.  Salesman and owner visited regularly to oversee project.  Schedules were projected and kept.  The quality of materials were superior, and today, eight years later, the cabinets are still beautiful, the appliances still work perfectly, the cabinetry has not shifted or sunk from the walls or ceiling, the ceramic tile floor is still solid with no loose tiles or grout.  The stone countertops are solid and the single seam of the countertop at a corner joint is still smooth and even.  The drawers and hinges are as smooth today as in 2003.

The professionalism of the entire team that worked on our kitchen was outstanding. Each phase of the job was performed in a timely fashion. The work didn't begin until the goods were in inventory. Each day Daniel, one of the partners in the company, came by to check on how things were going. All the work was completed on schedule- five weeks. I do not hesitate to recommend Elite Kitchens and would use them in the future should the need arise. A seamless experience from start to finish!

Elite Kitchens helped us renovate our kitchen from start to finish. They assisted with the redesign and selection of materials. Most of the workers are employed by them directly, so everyone arrived promptly and completed their work promptly. Each one, especially the tile man and the carpenter, functioned at the highest level of professionalism and quality. The owner stopped in to inspect things each and every day a worker was on the premises. Frankly, I can't imagine how things could have gone more smoothly. I have many friends who have shared horror stories with me about kitchen renovations. We appreciate the fact they we had a totally professional experience. While our kitchen was a high end job, that is not necessarily a guarantee that things will go well. I can enthusiastically report the this project was seamless.

The removal of old material and initial installation went very well. The finish was delayed about three months because it took 5 attempts to get the correct size shelves for either side of our window above sink. We had to remove much of the trash and empty boxes and cardboard floor covering ourselves. There was little follow through to ensure these materials were disposed of. Yes, we did call. We asked for compensation but never were offered or received any. The workmanship was very good but but the attention to detail was lacking at times. We spent considerable time disposing of the trash and cabinet boxes left in our garage and the protective cardboard on our kitchen floor because they were not removed for over a week after the work stopped.

After discussing general terms and needs, a designer came to my house, took measurements, held discussions, and then came up with a number of alternative designs. I selected the cabinets, appliances, sink design, window, door, etc., and installation was scheduled. All work was completed within the initial time estimate. The workmanship was excellent and clean-I was surprised but delighted that they installed a plastic curtain on the outside of the work area in order to keep dust out of the rest of the house. The installation crew was friendly and efficient. My old kitchen was relatively small and cramped, and the redesign and installation made it far more practical, useful, airy and pleasant, without change in square footage. It was an amazing accomplishment.
