Everything went great. He came on time for the initial consultation and even though it was raining, he went outside in the rain to access the old driveway so that he could have a better informed discussion. He advised us on how much it needed to be widened by and also let us know what minute amendments he had to make to keep it within legal limits. He had to schedule around the terrible weather and finished the project within two days; it would have been 1 day if it wasn't raining so bad. We followed his advise about not using it for a few days because of how wet the ground was and the first time I finally drove on it, I was ecstatic! Overall it was a very pleasant experience and he was a great professional. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know.

Dominic worked with me and my neighbor to fit our comprehensive project within our budget. While there was some initial tension in defining the scope of the project, Dominic's work product is excellent. I would hire his company again for any asphalt work, and I understand they do snowplowing/snow removal now as well.

They did a great job but they compacted it too much but came and fixed it. There were no argument and came and fixed the problem. They did a great job with my neighbor's and my driveway was bigger and a larger job. Dominic was responsive and called if he was running late. He is very customer oriented. i am now pleased with the job.

"Nice review, but not exactly accurate! We did not "compact the asphalt too much". The member compared her driveway with a neighboring driveway (also installed by us) that was done a bit differently. Both driveways were installed correctly, and both looked amazing! $500.00 worth of additional labor, and materials were given to this member for free to make her a happy customer... The project went very well. Dominic had to start a few days late due to rain but was in contact during the bad whether and quick to get started as soon as the rain lifted. He was timely arriving and spent the first day removing the old driveway, adding width and smoothing the surface. By mid-day the second day he had laid the new asphalt and finished by midday. We did have to call him to remove a bit of debris from the yard, mostly soil and grass but he was quick to do that.

Dominic came out and explained the best method to restore the driveway. He explained that he would dig out the cracking areas and he would add a layer of asphalt to the entire driveway to level and smooth it out. He also went the extra mile to ensure the edges were level with the sidewalks. He was courteous, professional and patient to answer all my questions and concerns.

The new parking pad and driveway Dominic installed literally changed my world!!!! I risk sounding like a TV ad...but I was so thrilled with the final product....and I have done a lot of remodeling and repair work. The new, clean and crisp look of the driveway has increased the property value/curb appeal. And it resolved daily problems I had to drive around in order to use my driveway. Dominic was a true professional...he was punctual, measured efficiently and presented an immediate and clear written estimate. We discussed the pros and cons plus pricing of doing the parking pad and/or the driveway. I was upfront on my financial restrictions which he understood and did not push or play games. I felt he was dealing with me honestly. Initially, I contracted to do the parking pad only, but after the first day and seeing the amount of work and their thorough prep work, I bit the bullet and added on the driveway redo portion. I just wish I could hire Dominic for more work! Repaving work is not cheap. However, Dominic's pricing was very reasonable. I had no idea the amount of work and machinery/labor required for the job and completely understood his pricing. In retrospect, the pricing was more than fair. My job took 3 days hard manual labor. I had no clue it would be such a huge amount of work.

Couldn't be happier. We had the driveway widened and extended and had the whole thing resurfaced. Dominic and his crew were professional and hard workers and the result is just what I hoped. And the price was very reasonable.

The total time to complete the project took about 2 weeks, due to the constant rain. I would normally have taken about 5 days to complete. The cost of resurfacing the driveway is much lower than the final price, due to the following reason. Before they could resurface the driveway, they had to dig out by hand and re-compact dirt near my recently rebuilt retaining wall that runs along my driveway. This was not done properly by my previous contractor after they completed the retaining wall. The thought process for re-compacting the dirt is not to create dips in the asphalt as I begin driving over the driveway. They also found a potential problem with voids in the concrete located under the asphalt. All that to say, they probably saved me more headaches down the road, had they not re-compacted the dirt. Well worth the money, as I plan to be in this house a very long time. Now that the project is done. I am a completely satisfied customer and would highly recommend Dominic's Paving to anyone looking for quality work for their money. I was very impressed with Dominic, the owner. He was very knowledgeable and appeared very honest about his assessment of my project. He is not going to sell your something that you don't need or want. I found his price to be very competitive and the quality of the work is outstanding.

"Your project was fairly unique. We only run into situations like yours about every 2-3 years. Because its rare, many contractors are unsure how to proceed with the construction... homeowners get many different opinions (with a wide price range), and in the end are usually more confused than when they've set out! Retaining wall, and/or utility contractors excavate deep holes in the driveway area, and NEVER properly compact these areas during reinstallation. Correcting their mistakes added a huge amount to the final cost of your project! I'm very happy that you took my advise on that, as there is no doubt that you would have had a problem had you chosen a bargain priced contractor who would have surely skipped the crucial compaction step! driveway. We had about 6 holes that needed filling. He dug the holes up and
filled them with asphalt making one sturdy patch. He told us the patch may be visible
but that it would look better over time. He came back
and saw that it was too visible and added another coat of oil based
asphalt. It sure does look better. The
patch is an A+ patch. The driveway resurfacing is too. I would hire him again
and recommend him.

We were very pleased with the outcome. Dominic was our top pick after meeting with many contractors. He showed up on time and delivered on the things he included in the contract. He worked with us and our neighbor to find the best solution in a shared driveway situation. We found a couple of spots that we weren't pleased and he came right away and took care of fixing them. We are glad we hired him.

"Sealcoat materials are heavily diluted by companies who do not offer asphalt paving services. Diluted materials = cheap pricing. We do not directly compete with those companies, so we are not forced to dilute the product. My customers are informed of this well before the sale is made.
