Mr. Foster installed new hot/cold water supply lines to a pedestal sink that had dripping supply lines. He replaced a badly corroded pressure reducing valve with a new valve which required cutting off the old valve. He replaced a cartridge in a bath tub that was dripping and properly installed the bath tub spout. Everything was installed properly and there was no more leakage.

Mr. Foster came out the Friday night before Christmas and replaced the valve. We recommend him, and will use again.

Hose bib successfully replaced. Slowness in drain was diagnosed as structural and options to remedy were assessed as not cost-effective.

Great! I got four estimates on a new gas water heater, and David's was the second lowest. Even with installation of the kitchen faucet, the total price was about $200 less than the highest priced plumbing company for water heater alone! I paid extra to have an optional pan under the water heater with PVC drain line into my sump pump - just extra "insurance" and peace of mind in case the water heater ever has a catastrophic leak, since it is next to the finished part of our basement.

He was very professional and careful and did a good job.  Cleaned up after the work too.  He was able to come on short notice and came on time.  Ended up working on the wrong line first and that drove up the cost, but it was an understandable mistake.  Friendly and gave good advice too.

My quarterly water bills had been very high for several quarters.  I called the water utility company (City of Rockville) twice and they could not diagnose the issue, they simply told me that the water meter was working correctly since it was just installed in 2009 and lasts for 25 years.  I even paid the utility $20 to check the meter again, and all they did was drive by and do a remote reading without leaving their truck.  So they were useless.
David came on time just as my family was leaving the house for the day.  He opened up the water meter pit cover in my front yard (something I could have done had I known how easy it was to open) and took a reading.  Later in the day, still with no one home and no water being used (and none leaking in the house) he came back and checked the meter again.  A lot of water had flowed through the meter during that time, so he explained to me that I had an underground water leak.  
He explained that we needed to contact the utility company so they could check things and they could give me permission to repair the leak in the water service line to my house.  (Homeowners are responsible for replacing the water line under their property if the meter is located out near the sidewalk.)  David handled contacting the utility company for me and was very responsive to my questions and calls.  He is a one man plumbing business, so he takes true ownership over ensuring his customers are satisfied.  He always returned my calls, usually in the evening.  
David offered the lowest price for replacing my water line, but I chose to use another company.  Looking back, I think David would have done just as good a job on the water line replacement.  David will be my go-to plumber from now on for any other major plumbing repairs.

Dave Foster was an exceptional provider. Washington Gas had shut off the gas completely to the residence. Dave made special arrangements to come by over the weekend and examine the problem. He did a thorough examination of the gas fixtures, found the gas leaks (unlike Washington Gas) and found prior issues from work that a previous plumber performed. If it were not for the discovery of these prior issues, it is likely that Washington Gas would not have approved the next inspection of the property and would have denied turning the gas back on. Dave's expertise was critical in making sure all potential issues were addressed so that the gas (heat, stove and hot water) could be resumed as soon as possible. His help was indispensable in resolving our complicated sequence of events. I would highly recommend him to someone looking for a qualified plumber.

Went very well. Explained what he was going to do and if he needed to do more, he stated that and told us of the price.

I called this plumber after a previous plumber (TNT Home and Commercial Maintenance) had been hired to snake out a clogged bathroom sink, but refused to return after the sink stopped up again. Foster Plumbing came to the rescue. He snaked the sink out again; was prompt, courteous, and professional. Also, he was $50 cheaper than another plumber I had gotton an estimate from. I will definitely use this company again, and will be happy to refer him to others.

The service was great and he was very professional. However, he charged a lot for the work and he also charged two 15 minute loading and unloading labor fees on top of the labor. I did not think he would charge us for parts because he did not use any, however he charged us a rental fee on the two snakes he used on the inside and the outside even though he owned both of them. He sais he had to charge the rental fee becasue using them wears them out and causes him to buy new ones in the future.

I called to schedule an appointment on Friday and he came out on Saturday afternoon. My shower had a leak that was causing water to go through the wall to the bedroom next door. He started with the simplest and least invasive potential fixes, but eventually had to cut the dry wall in the bedroom to get at the pipes. He did a very neat job of cutting the dry wall, and even made the dimensions so that I could get a simple DIY fix from a hardware store. After making several smaller repairs, he thought he had solved the problem and told me to keep an eye out for more water. I was disappointed after waiting for his work to dry that it was still leaking. I called Monday morning, and he returned the same day to follow up. He ended up replacing the leaking section of pipe completely, without charging me anything extra. Excellent service, very fast and good follow up!

Heater stopped working Thursday night. Called Mr Foster on Friday and he came promptly and re-lit burner. Warned me that burner might go out again and if so we would need new part. Part did quit, Mr Foster returned and removed old part. He hoped to find part localy but nothing available. Monday he ordered new part from Sears and it arrived next day. He came and installed it that day. Mr. Foster is always pleasant and gets right to work.. He will be returning in a few days to install a new sump and fix a cover for it. I will be paying him for both jobs so I don't have the job total yet. His service call is $136 and well worth it . His call on the sump pump fixed the tired old pump in time to prevent flooding during our most recent storm

Their service went very well. He was very prompt and upfront with his cost. He was very efficient. We've had him before. We would not hesitate to use him again.

David did a great job. He was a very nice and likable person, while at the same time being a complete professional. He is a one man operation, so you are getting the owner/operator of the business doing the work. He was responsive in setting up the appointment and on time. All the plumbing he dealt with was old, but he was able to repair all except the kitchen lever faucet ( which was so badly corroded he had to work hard to get it off). I thought David did great work at a reasonable price and I will not hesitate to use him in the future for my plumbing repairs.

They found the problem dug the hole and inserted new pipes. They also refilled the hole and repaired the cement slab. A little messy but done in a relatively short time with reasonable clean up afterwords.

David is a true plumbing professional. His knowledge of plumbing is excellent. While watching him work, I saw him use a mirror to check the back of a valve to make sure it was correct. This proves he values doing things correct.

I called for service on a minor problem and to get an estimate on the drain pipe replacement work. Mr Foster scheduled an appointment quickly, was on time and got down to business without delay. The minor problem was fixed immediately (another story) and he gave me a reasonable estimate of the total cost of the larger project, including labor and parts. We set a date a couple of days later to have the work done.
Again, he was on time and ready to go. He had to work in a miserable, dirty crawl space but got the job done quickly and well. He cleaned up everything and had a bill ready in minutes.
This was a difficult and uncomfortable job and I am glad that it could be done so quickly and so well.
