Based on the positive reviews I saw on AL, I called and spoke to the owner, Greg, about a tune-up for my F-150. The truck was jerking when it shifted between gears (its an automatic), usually at about 40mph. Greg explained the long and unfortunate history of Ford's design with this particular engine. Fellow F-150 owners, if they have had their spark plugs replaced, can attest to that fact. Just before calling Greg, I googled and viewed you tube and found about a million hits on nightmare stories regarding these plugs. Greg said they would try and extract without snapping them, but explained all 8 may snap, maybe 4, maybe none. Oh boy! Long story short, one of Greg's dedicated mechanics (forgot his name) spent almost two full days extracting these spark plugs and replaced them with upgraded OEM plugs (my choice) which were $25 apiece. And, yes, all 8 snapped! Murphy's Law and all... It was also an additional $87 per plug to extract the OEM plugs. In addition, I got an oil change, new HD battery which I needed, computer and electrical diagnostic tests to see if they could reveal the source of the jerking/stuttering of the engine. In the end, no misfire codes were detected, but that is exactly what was happening. As soon as I got the truck back, it felt like it was brand new. I've since driven it up to Boston from Maryland, and the engine has not hesitated/jerked one time. Greg and his crew are obviously highly skilled, and I appreciate that my truck is now running like new. I only gave a "B" rating for the price because in the end it was just a tune-up. However, there is no such thing with this particular engine model/year. That is not on Greg. That was a Ford disaster and can found all over the net as I mentioned earlier. Its my own fault for not doing this before I bought the truck back in 2013! The price rating was just for my fellow AL members who have this truck to be aware of the potential cost of this service. Greg warned me plenty before the job was started, and I do not regret getting it done. The only alternative would have been to get rid of the truck. Now, I have this truck that will last another 120k miles. I will bring back both of my vehicles for all future work as I feel that I can trust Greg and his guys to do the job right!

Because my Chrysler is a 1997 and parts are either not readily available or no longer being produced, the shop needed to call around to many places to obtain a replacement AC condenser.They had to disassemble & reassemble the AC system twice because the first AC condenser sent to them was defective, but I was charged only for the work done on the flawless condenser.
The work done by this shop is competent and very fairly priced. The owners, Greg and Dawn, are honest and extremely nice. Doing business with them is a pleasure and in stark contrast to the hassle and overpricing I used to experience at the Chrysler dealership.
 I found Certified Auto Repair through Angie's List. in November 2015. The first time I brought my car in for service, Greg gave me the estimate. He surprised me by calling back to remind me that I would be getting a discount because of my membership in Angie's List! I have been extremely pleased each time I have brought my car there for service. Certified Auto Repair is now the only automobile repair shop my husband and I use.

They did an outstanding job relieving my concern about tapping sound I heard coming from the crankshaft which they assured me was a normal noise & no problem.  They showed me the difference between the color of dirty oil that was in my transmission fluid and what clear oil should be.  My 1991 camry had 130,000 miles and never had the transmission fluid changed and it showed in the dirty oil.  When my car needs service in the future, I will definitely return to Certified Auto Service.  Their staff are very pleasant.

They did the sufficient repairs for half the estimated cost from Honda. They are the best. I have been using them for the past 2 years and have always been happy with them. I have recommended them to my family and friends.
