Artisan Movers did an excellent job from start to finish. The staff was friendly, punctual, and efficient with my move. They handled everything in a very professional manner and communicated very well with what was going on. I was very pleased to work with them and well definitely call on them again next time I need moving services!

It went very well! I was particularly impressed with 3 things - 1) The care taken to put the furniture where I needed. 2) The care taken to unpack and keep the contents of boxes together. 3) The organization of the storage closet for optimal storage.

Artisan Movers moved my household yesterday. It was a local move, only 10 miles, but it was a large household. Cris came with 5 other movers and two trucks and arrived at 9:10 AM, and they were finished by 3:45 PM (delivered all items to our new house). Cris stressed that it was his goal to be as efficient as possible, and if I had any questions or concerns, that he would take care of them. I was very impressed with Cris and his entire crew. They quickly moved through the house and took all the boxes that we had packed and furniture items, and offered to take anything else we hadn't gotten to in our packing, which was a good bit. I liked the fact that Artisan Movers brought wardrobe boxes to be used in the move so I didn't have to pay for any (they take back the wardrobe boxes when the move is complete). They also took special care of my wife's piano. They were courteous, friendly and in good spirits the entire time. I am retired from 20 years in the Navy, and had been through 17 moves during that time. No move I have had previously compared to the ease and efficiency with which this move occurred. I am a total fan of Artisan Movers, and plan to use them again in 9 months when I move out of this rental house to a permanent house.

We has an Artisan moving crew unload Pods over a 2 day period. They were polite, professional, punctual and efficient. They were careful about furniture placement in our new home and did an overall excellent job. Would hire them again without hesitation.

We were in great hands from our pack up, storage, and unpack. Cris was great to work with, and the crew that came out to pack up and unpack, were professional, friendly, and caring! You could see they like working for Artisan and are proud of their company! They promised us that our contents would be packed properly, and they reassured us, after a past bad move with another company, that we would be experiencing the highest quality and level of service that you should expect when people move your belongings. Everything went very well. The moving crew was professional, polite, and respectful of valuable items. They carefully shrink wrapped one piece that was starting to fall apart but since it was of sentimental value, they made sure it made it in the best shape it could. It made all the difference to my father-in-law. I can't say enough about the professionalism of this company from the beginning process of obtaining a quote to the actual move.

I can't say enough about Artisan Movers. From the quotation to the final move, the level of professionalism and care provided by their entire staff far exceeded my expectations. The estimate was accurate with no surprises when it came time to the final bill. The extraordinary level of care and protection they gave to our furniture ensured that it would all arrive safely and damage free. How they were able to artfully execute the tight corners and stairs of my previous home while carrying some very heavy, large, and solid pieces was amazing to watch. It was our smoothest move yet! While we were vetting different moving companies in the area, we found that Artisan Movers had the most prompt, and reliable response. Their quote was 100% accurate, with honest information throughout the whole process. There were no hidden fees, and the charges for supplies that were used were fair, and exactly what they stated before the process began. On the actual move day, Chris, Santos, and Alex did a wonderful job. They were extremely thoughtful and flexible the entire day. We had a few extra requests that came up unexpectedly due to the previous tenants inability to remove all of their extra stuff and the gentlemen did a very quick and through job removing all the extra furniture without a single complaint. Very professional service, and they were SO quick and efficient the whole day. I know the next time we move, we won't be nearly as stressed out because we know our things are in good hands. Last month I moved locally, from a high-rise apartment building to a low-rise condo building (so a lot of elevator and hallway logistics involved). Marc was very responsive over email and phone from the time that I requested a quote. The morning of the move, the team of 3 movers were quick and careful with all of my items. I did have pretty much all of my items boxed up already, so I can't speak to that part of their service. However, they were able to take apart and put together a daybed quickly, which was the biggest item that I had to move. Also, my flat screen TV was wrapped very well and had no issues being moved over to my new place. Any boxes that seemed a little loosely packed were also taped and wrapped by the movers, which I appreciated. The movers were professional, friendly, took note of any specific requests I had during the move, and I would definitely recommend them to others looking for movers.

Artisan actually made our office move stress-free. Marc quickly answered all our calls and questions, the quote was great, and the movers were a pleasure to deal with. As with all moves, we had a few last second changes, but they weren't a problem for Artisan. On moving day, the crew was on time, wrapped up our furniture safely, and had us out of our old offices and into the new place quickly and with no problems. I definitely recommend Artisan.

Moving is really stressful and Artisan movers did their best to take the stress out of the process. The team was extremely professional, punctual and efficient. They communicated with me regularly throughout packing and move day if anything was unexpected (a bed that wouldn't fit down the flight of steps without chipping paint, etc). When the move was finished, they went through each room with me to make sure everything was in the right place and moved a few items that needed to be fixed. Prior to the move, Kevin came out to give an estimate and the actual cost was very close to what he estimated. We will be moving again in a year when our house renovations are done and will certainly be using Artisan movers again.

Artisan movers were very polite, fast, quick, professional, and courteous.They (4 people) arrived right on time, got set up and to work on packing and moving. Didn't break any of my things. They came in with the lowest estimate, at the end their estimate was very accurate. (even paid less) As an expat I know what moving is and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic. While we were well prepared for what we intended to load, this the two of us are not strong enough to handle some of the items. Kevin was able to eye ball what we had, and worked efficiently to load large and small items. He did a very sound job of packing our truck so that there was no shifting of objects. We were 100% satisfied and will not use any other firm to complete our move.

I'm very disappointed to hear you are upset that the final price differed from the estimated amount and that you feel we are not a forthcoming company. As a result of your feedback, I reviewed the paperwork for your move and it appears the final price was actually almost 10% BELOW the estimate. If by "They gave us a different price at the end than what was discussed." you mean we came under the estimated price, then I'm confused as to why you gave us a C rating. Sounds like that should be more of a B at the very least, maybe even worthy of an A :-) We tell all prospective clients that our estimates are exactly that - an estimate. They are not a firm quote or binding contract. There are many variables and unforeseen circumstances that can result in the final price being higher or lower than the estimate. All we can do is try our very best to provide our customers with as accurate of an estimate as we can. Sometimes the final cost is more than estimated, and many times we come in under the estimate or are right on point."

Artisan did a great job! They were punctual, polite, professional and the price was nice!! We had 15 pieces of gym equipment that needed to move from one gym to another and we were actively involved with moving the equipment but our movers jumped in and always pushed us to the side to grab up the heaviest and hardest pieces! We even had a moment where we were doubting one piece could fit in the elevator or if we needed to take it apart. They reassured us they could make it fit, and they DID!! It saved us an hour of harder work!

You can read on for details, but the bottom line is that you should hire these guys today. The best movers I have worked with (and I have worked with many over the last few years) not just in DC, but anywhere. So good on so many levels. Details: I needed to schedule a move with a narrow time window on both ends, on a busy Saturday in June and only a week away. After contacting over ten DC area movers – none of whom could help me or frankly even wanted to talk to me – I found Marc at Artisan. Loved Marc’s communication style (he opened up a chat window to ask me questions while I was begging another mover to give me a Saturday AM timeslot) from beginning to end. Marc was prompt, clear and responsive to last minute changes when we had a double-booking for the freight elevator on Sat AM. His crew – Reggie, Chris and Everett - were extremely professional, friendly and incredibly efficient. They navigated the complexities of moving into a DC dupont circle apartment (NOT an easy thing to do with a moving truck!) with ease and enthusiasm. Rock stars!

This group was amazing. They packed my furniture better than anything I've seen and were speedy. A bunch of items that I had no time to pack were thrown in a closet to deal with later (and closet door shut. I got home and they had even packed those items in a box and moved it, remaining in the time window estimated. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Initial consultation with Marc was fabulous and I was expecting same service when movers arrived at my house. Initially I thought things would go well as the movers arrived on time and were friendly but then things went down hill. They were in a rush to move us and really seemed more interested in finishing the job then doing it well. While nothing was broken in the move, they did spill someting on one of our belongings as well as get multiple scratches on items and the walls. Additionally, I was charged a service fee of almost $50.00 for paying with a credit card. When I addressed this with the owner - he immediately waived the fee since it was not discussed during the initial consulataion. The owner, Marc is great but his crew needs some improvement. Based on my initial consultation - I was just expecting much more.
