Again I like to watch people I hire like a HAWK since I am the one who will live in it not them. Overall they were polite and personable. They did a good job installing and replacing the sliding glass doors. My biggest concern was whether they could make a install the doors while not distrubing the vinyl siding. They did that and they got replacement siding trim to match. They also fix some broken parts of the deck. When the existing patio door was pulled out, it exposed some wood rot, they replaced a section when I prompted them to. They said they would if I had the plywood. Luckily I had several pieces for them to choose from so they did put the plywood down prior to putting in the new door. Honestly I'm glad they were nice enough to put that if but WHAT IF I DIDN'T have plywood on hand? Would they have gone ahead and quickly installed the sliding glass door if I wasn't watching like a hawk? Also from watching them they appeared like they were not as knowledgeable of the Anderson Narrow Line as I like them to be. There was a piece of trim that they did not know where it was suppose to be installed untill I showed them. Also they forgot to install an exterior piece that capped the top of the sliding glass door. Overall they did a good job, their price was good and dealing with Demitri was a pleasure. He was diligent, his desire to want his crew to do a good job was apparent. As you read this please understand I am very critical. As I mentioned before I do watch like a hawk since I am the one who will live in the house not the workers so I am VERY CRITICAL than most homeowners who rate companies.

Work started later then planned due to a skylight order. Work was started on June 24 and the process lasted about one month. The skylight need to be re-ordered because it was the wrong type and delayed project by about 10 days. Three different crews of man worked on four individual days to complete all of the work. The crews were polite and cleaned up each day.

These people are contracted through the shingle manufacturer. The gentleman was able to identify potential problems with my roof venting and after re-roofing and correcting the problems, the upstairs of my home was 5 degrees cooler. He spent an hour and a half educating me on what would be required for the job. He even put on plastic slippers before walking into my home. It was an excellent experience and they really followed through. I'm really impressed and they were outstanding!

They are a first class customer oriented operation. They were very professional. They provided me with a lot of information and options. They left all of the major decision making up to me. Whether I wanted a minimal and simple fix or a complete and thorough correction. They responded quickly and provided a very thorough estimate. They did both the estimate and the project in a timely manner.

The company owner (second generation family business) performed a detailed inspection of our roof, pitch, and joist condition. He worked with me to select materials. I had originally planned to use Ecostar synthetic slate shingles. However, he identified that our roof pitch did not meet the requirements of the Ecostar product. He recommended several alternative products and we settled on a more traditional lifetime warrantee shingle. The work was completed by experienced, professional workers within two days of start of project. We still had leakage around our fireplace chimney after the job. When they were notified of the problem, they returned within two days to inspect the leakage, which WAS NOT due to a problem in their installation, but rather due to some cracks in the stonework of the chimney. They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable in every way.

After a poor experience with a previous contractor American Custom Contractors was very sensitive to our situation and did everything to walk us through the estimation proces. They provided multiple options, estimates and adjustments to our needs as the project was ongoing. The entire staff was attentive and considerate.

I told my problem to Tim Booth. He explained that they did not do repairs on somebody else's work, but that he would stop by an take a look. He showed up the next day and did some temporary repairs to the loose pieces. He also scheduled someone to fix it permanently. After a short wait, caused by weather and Thanksgiving, an installer came and did a first-rate job, repairing somebody else's mistake.

Very well. They accurately described their products & their service, and the process with installation on the date agreed upon, and in the foreseen time frame.

I cannot say enough positive things about this company. My wife and I moved into an older home with a cedar shake roof that was falling apart. We solicited quotations from five different companies. They all had different ideas for type of shingle, underlayment, soffit intake, ventilation, amount of drip edges, and flashing to be replaced. Also, the pricing varied quite a bit. Not knowing much about roofs in general, I knew my decision was not going to be easy even after spending a lot of time on the internet researching materials, contractors, ventilation, etc. However, Matt, Project Manager for American Custom Contractors, was on time for the initial appointment, spent a considerable amount of time with me answering questions, and actually got up on the roof to visually inspect the situation and get accurate measurements. His proposal was delivered when promised, and he spent a countless amount of hours answering my questions over the phone and through e-mail. While the other companies only proposed 30 year shingles, a minimal number of drip edges, not much ice shield, replacement flashing "where necessary", and were slow to respond to questions, Matt from American Custom Contractors gave me several types of shingles to choose from and answered all my questions in a timely fashion. In the end, we choose the Certainteed Landmark TL Ultimate shingle for its depth, thickness, and ratings(50 year shingle)with the Shingle Vent II Ridge Vent and the DCI Smart Vent soffit intake. In addition, this company uses 72 inches of ice shield on the eaves, and ice shield in the valleys and around dormer windows, versus the traditional 36 inches on the eaves only for the other companies. They also use drip edges on the eaves and the rake boards to prevent any moisture from getting under the shingles, extra pipe collars, and they replaced the flashing everywhere(around skylight, chimneys, roof wall junctions, and dormer windows). The nails were all galvanized to prevent rust, and they used caps over the nails to seal these minor roof penetrations. American Custom Contractors also placed diverters in two areas on the roof where I was having problems with rain runoff. The crew from American Custom Contractors did a fantastic job while on the site, protecting my trees, plants, and lawn. They worked flawlessly together, completing a very large, complex job in just 5 days. They were not the cheapest, but with the lifetime warranty on the roof(material and labor), along with the quality workmanship, this was the best decision I ever made.

They did a very professional job. Suggested several things they thought should be done but did not push extra cost items on me. Did a good job and finished on time. Cleaned up well.

I contacted American Custom Contractors(ACC)and another contractors to receive estimates on a rental house. I live 60 miles away and the representative/owner Demetri was willing to provide the initial estimate by reviewing the house alone and asking questions over the phone. I received a bid that was lower than the other contractor. I contacted ACC and went through the contract details to ensure that the same work and materials were being bid. Demetri was very helpful in explaining the job labor requirements and materials in detail. After confirming the requirements were met, we made the color selections and signed the contract for work. My wife met Demetri at the house for a final walk through to confirm the project goals before starting. The project was coordinated with the renters and was completed within a week of the start time as estimated. The installation was near perfect. Seams were well caulked. The cuts for the trim and soffits were nice and clean. The gutters were reinstalled properly and the area was cleaned up as if thy were never there. I have had several jobs performed recently and this was the best contractor experience to-date.

I have dealt with many contractors in my time and none have come close to the professional and prompt service that American Custom Contractors delivered. I felt all levels of the company cared about what needed to be done and went above and beyond the norm to ensure I received the best products and service.

Perfect, they were very good about working around my business schedule and my patients.

They were on time, below budget and cared about my business and customers as they worked.

The initial approach was pretty good. The communication deteriorated between the representative and the manager, so that caused a few problems. The managers did respond very well, and after that the service was excellent.

I had used them in the past and was comfortable with the level of service I previously received. The quality of work is exceptional. I find it difficult to find contractors that pay attention to detail. At this point, I d pay slightly more to assure myself a positive experience in both the customer service and product. Years ago I saved a few pennies and ultimately spent more fixing their solution . If you re looking for detail oriented contractors that communicate well and follow up on their word look no further.

I looked at several contractors and received bids from them. Demetri was the person that came to our house and his demeanor and ability to communicate made my wife and I feel comfortable. He took the time to educate us on our options and gave us enough knowledge to ask more intelligent questions to their competition. Although they were not the least expensive bid, the quality of work and professionalism was worth it. I d rather have it done right the first time then to save now and pay later. Very customer friendly company that stands behind their service.

They are very good at what they do, very punctual, and very neat. I thought that they did an excellent job. I was pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

They were on time and did the job in 3 days. They removed the old shingles and wood, didn't leave a mess. They were efficient and did high quality work. I was very pleased with their work.

This is the worst company we have ever dealt with bar none. They had a written contract with pictures after they inspected our roof. They told us our problem was ventilation so they were only going to replace our all new roofing materials but not a new wooden roof. After they started the job, they realized the whole roof needed to be replaced. The contract stated the job would be completed by June 30th. No one had showed up by June 28th. They showed up ten days later. They showed up the first day and did a good job. They didn't show up or call on the second day. They left the old soffit on even though their contract stated that was problem for the rotting. They left the wet, rotted insulation on top of our non-ventilated soffit under the new ventilated; therefore defeating the purpose for a ventilated soffit. They did not originally install the brick molding between the brick and the soffit even though we paid for it, they left the old brick molding there and attached the soffit to the old brick molding and not the house. They tried to say they didn't know the house was brick even though it was in the contract and they had pictures of the house. They installed the gutters and downspouts on the main house even though they were supposed to install them on the addition as well. They did not slope the 8x8 roofing on the vestibule. They used caulk instead of putting the roof on properly. They argued with me about how the job was done. I had to threaten to have an inspector out to verify the job was not done right and threatened to sue them and stop payment. And only then did they come and rework what needed to be fixed.

Andrew came on site on two different occasions, and was pleasant and energetic. The multi-page estimate we received from him was extremely detailed, and offered two different brands of siding, three different features for windows, and one brand of doors. We were disappointed, however, with being limited to one brand of windows and doors which were extremely high in cost compared to the other materials we were offered by other contractors. We decided not to contact with ACC because the high cost of these materials made their estimate too high.
