Originally applied to refinance mortgage (50% loan to value ratio) on our residence in early October 2012. Both spouses with credit scores over 800 and assets other than residence of many times requested loan amount. All initially requested documentation provided within several days of application. Broker continued with multiple requests for additional documentation into mid-December, including for information that would have been sought immediately if initial materials provided had been reviewed back in October. Several sequential estimated of closing dates advanced from mid-December 2012 to end of year, to mid-January 2013, and finally to end of January 2013. At that point in early January 2013, withdrew application. Submitted application to new lender and closed on refinance in 27 days.
