Abaris Realty

I have in general not been happy with my experience with Abaris. Most recently, we have had a roof leak. Abaris sent out a vendor who inspected the roof and the interior of our home and said he would be back to repair the issue the next day. We did not authorize the repair, Abaris did. When I reached out to Abaris to inquire about remediating the interior damage from the leak, they ignored my emails until I posted a negative google review. after the review, they responded threatening legal action unless I take down the review (). Then they tried to charge us back for the roof repairs that they authorized and that were performed by their vendor, without any permission or authorization by us - and to be clear, this is a condo! we don't own the roof! it's not our property! Clear retaliation for the negative review. AND, cherry on top, they tried to auto-debit the amount for the roof repair - $1,000 - directly from my checking account with our monthly condo payment, which as anyone knows is fraud. Whew, what a mess. In emailing with Abaris accounts receivable they acknowledged this is not their typical process and that they would not normally debit with the condo fee (of course, because they cannot legally do so). but no apology or any mention of making us whole for the repairs we had to arrange ourselves and pay for. just, so so bad. Not to mention my parents live in another Abaris- managed property (King Farm) and they are also always unhappy. They are older and have trouble with stairs, and the elevators are constantly broken forcing them to walk or be trapped in their fourth floor condo.
