The current electrical system was underpowered and not up to code. I was informed by the home inspector when I purchased the home that it needed a new service entry cable, and would benefit from a boost to 150 amp. I decided to pay a little extra and bump to 200, since I have two separate washer dryer units in the house. Clay removed the old, corroded electrical boxes. There were two of them and one was behind a wall that I had to demolish. He cut out and installed the electrical panel, as detailed in the contract. DC Regulatory Inspection Program issued a temporary-pending-final approval for the panel on 01 Sept. 2009. I'm still awaiting DC/PEPCO to actually replace the meter. Otherwise the outisde entry looks good. It's insulated and in great shape.
