There is a little story here. I would like to add that Ray has always been polite and has done pool work for us in the past. On Thursday May 28th, 2015 he pulled his van in our NEWLY paved concrete driveway. Ray knocked at the back door so I did not realize he was parked there. Himself and another worker thoroughly checked the pool and gave us an estimate for new tile, replacing some of the copping and a new pool railing. We agreed on a price and he was to begin work on June 15th. We gave him a cash deposit of $500.00.I called him on Friday May 29th to inform him his van leaked oil on our new driveway which was installed on May 4, 2015. Ray left several messages, the first that it was not his vehicle that is leaking oil and the second that it was and he will be responsible for repairs of driveway. He then spoke to my husband and apologized and that he will take care of driveway. Ray never called or showed up on June 15th as promised and I had to call him. He assured me that he will be there on Tuesday June 16th and work will be completed by the weekend. He arrived after 9am on Tuesday and informed us that work will cost us an additional $1300.00 because he did not realize more copping had to be replaced even though he inspected pool with measurements on May 28th. He then told us that work could not be completed and a good possibility that he could not finish job until the middle of July. We believe that comments he made to us about our retirement and driveway caused him to increase the price and not wanting to take responsibility for the driveway after we received an estimate from the concrete contractor. Ray informed us that he is not paying for it and we can take him to court. Also he advised us to get some estimates from other pool contractors and that he will match price if it is cheaper than his cost. Now we are with an empty pool, tile removed and approx. 95 pieces of copping removed. When he left in the early afternoon we thought he was just taking a lunch break but never returned. I called him and he informed us he was not returning today and did not know when he will return. He said he was trying to get a sub contractor to do the tile and that he has to make a profit on this job. We should have fired him on the spot but now we are in tough spot because he was fully aware that I needed work to be completed by my 60th birthday which we are celebrating on July 12th. Very disappointed and upsetting and having other contractors give us estimates today and tomorrow. Now our concern is that the pool is not filled and that it will cause more problems if we have bad weather because it can cause the pool to lift/move.

Ray and his staff are professional, punctual, highly knowledgeable, honest , and fair.
I was seeking a new provider as I had become very dissatisfied with a local service that had tended to my pool for some years.
Finding Splash Pools and Spa Services with Ray was a great turn around for myself and my pool needs. From our very first contact, and every subsequent one, he was up front with availability, what he thought needed to be done, appointment times, etc.
I highly recommend Ray and his company to all pool owners out there. A solid company being managed by a solid man.
