I used them for about 30 years. The son took over and it is a disaster. The air conditioning system that I have in my ceiling, they did not do a proper wash out and it leaked and backed up. It went into a bedroom and ruined a ceiling. I had to get people in to re-plaster. They took no responsibility. Then about a year later I had them same problem of them not flushing out the system correctly. So then in another bedroom I had to clean everything out with the mold through the vents. I gave them a third try and they brought over probably a young man that had maybe had 5-6 weeks worth of training. He did not know what he was doing. They charged me double even though I had a contract. I basically said I'm finished with this. I paid my bill and walked away after 30 plus years. It was the son that was becoming to greedy, and he's got the opinion that all you have to do is hire more people and your business will triple. Today personal service is a big deal.
The lack of room in the closet dictated a stem humidifier. Art installed a Honeywell unit about 2 weeks later.
Mike selected the heat pump unit and the steam humidifier, which are working well. Mike kept me fully informed during the replacement process.
1. Hooked up the heat pump unit without verifying it met my requirements. Once hooked up, could not be returned.
2. Didn't correctly wire the control system, and didn't realize or tell me that my thermostat wire did not have enough strands.
I realized after they were done that the heat pump was not a multi-stage one, as I had requested. I went and bought the model I wanted myself, and had it in place for Triple E when they arrived. I also ran 18/7 thermostat wire and mounted the thermostat.
I called Triple E on Monday afternoon and explained my situation to Mike. He asked all the right questions, and asked them once. No need to keep re-explaining things. He showed up with two guys on Tuesday morning at the time he said he would. They got right to work, and each person worked well independently; no constant checking or standing around, like the last team I used. They back-charged the heat pump that was hooked up, unhooked it, put it where I asked, hooked up the new one, and re-did the control system wiring correctly.
Mike was communicable and willing to explain things to me. As a DIY'er, I appreciate that. He was thorough, and double-checked his work. Once finished hooking everything up, he tested each mode of operation.
The only thing I was unhappy about was the cost. He billed me for 2 hours of work for 3 guys at $100 an hour. One of the guys seemed more of a laborer than a technician, and I know I wouldn't pay 100 and hour for a labor employee. That said, they were actually there for more than 2 hours, and even knowing I'm going to pay more than I think I should for it, I'll still be using them again; their skill, professionalism, and job quality can't be touched, and now I know the job was done right.
