I have had a number of problems over the years with my Unico high velocity system, which are generally pretty idiosyncratic. I've had a number of people in and everyone seemed to have their own theory about what to do, but problems inevitably resurfaced, I think largely because the techs were applying their conventional forced air knowledge and experience to a system that is just a bit different.  Mike came in and gave me an idea of what was really wrong (too few outlets resulting in insufficient airflow across the evaporator) and gave me an honest assessment of what it was going to cost to fix.  I haven't had a problem with the AC since.  I've also had problems with my water boilers, which Mike and his guys have demonstrated a lot of patience in troubleshooting.  All this while I was out of town half the time and difficult to get in touch with. He was flexible about who let him in, when, and how we handled the billing.  While they're probably not the cheapest guys around, they honestly know what they're doing and to me competence is valuable. if you need Unico service in the Baltimore area, they're the ones you want.

I was interested in adding a new Mitsubishi AC/Heat pump to our large family room addition. From their site, I found several contractors who had their Diamond certification, including Quartners. Mike Quartner came out as scheduled to check out the room and provide an estimate. Quartner's price was easily the best one we obtained and Mike made me feel like we would do well choosing his company. So, we scheduled the work. On the day of the job, two workers from Quartners arrived on time and quickly set to work. We also had two electricians that Mike had suggested arrive to provide a new circuit for the unit. The entire job took about two hours to complete. It included installing the inside wall unit, as well as the outside unit. They also had to drill a 3and quot; hole through the wall for the electric, tubing, coolant lines, etc. The installer explained everything about the unit, including how to open the inside unit to clean the filters.They did a good job cleaning up as well. Later that day, Mike stopped by to inspect the job and make sure I was completely satisfied After a couple weeks, I can say the unit is working great and we are very pleased. I would not hesitate to use Quartners again..

I found Quartner Heating from Angie's list. Mr. Quartner gave a quick estimate and scheduled the work for a few days later. His employees did the work. The lead worker had 9 years experience. The work was done well, the rebate was received, all questions were answered. Mr. Quartner checked the work himself. He gave a very good price and was a good person to work with.

Mike came to the house and I explained what was happening the the A/C system. He proceeded to testing starting at the condenser and proceeded into the the house where he determined the valve was bad and made the necessary repair.

They were responsive and very knowledgeable. I like that they are local and do not use sub-contractors.

The price was reasonable and fair. They were specialists in high velocity systems and the system we installed is called Unico and it is a high velocity system. They seemed like good people when we met with them and the price seemed right for the system. They were very professional and very clean. They finished the job in the amount of time they said they would. They did a nice job as promised.

Quartner Heating and Air Conditioning was very punctual, quick, got me exactly what I was looking for, got the job done and left. I was very happy with Quartner, and the price was right too!

Overall it was excellent. The price, quality and the service were great. I had no complaints. It was done very quickly. They were here and it was done. I live in an older home and I had no duct work which is why I had this system installed is because it doesn't involve any duct work.

He was very professional and his work was good. He came and gave the quote first; he had a lot of tools with him. He measured the house to analyze what furnace and air conditioner we would need. He provided the estimate promptly. He completed the work in one and a half day, but he forgot to install the paralight for the water heater. He came on the next day and apologized for that and completed work.

He could have charged me twice as much for the time and labor. Mike is honest, dependable and went above and beyond what he needed to do. Because he had a scheduled job in between mine, he made sure I had heat before leaving and promised to be back that same day to take care of the cleaning, which he did. He pointed out the problems without making me feel like a dummy or that it was my fault for it happening - something single women appreciate when it's a problem that men usually take care of.

First, I need to be clear that my primary goal in installing central air in my home was to maintain the integrity of the home and minimize the amount of ductwork that would be visible. That is why we chose the Unico system rather than traditional HVAC. Overall, I could not be happier with the work. The job is BEAUTIFUL! His guys were very professional and with 2 very discreet exceptions, NONE of the duct work is visible. I am extremely happy with the job and would highly recommend his company to anyone interested in the UNICO system. We started off on the wrong foot, but for my husband, I would probably have not selected his company. Upon further consideration, I realize that the "issues" I had with Mike related to his need to manage my expectations with regard to hiding the ductwork in the dead spaces that I suspected lurked behind my walls and ceilings. Turns out I was right about being able to hide 95% of the ductwork in the existing framing of the house.

I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WORK PERFORMED. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. THE EMPLOYEE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ON TIME.
