STEVE LANPHEAR HAS DONE A BEAUTIFUL JOB FOR US--SINCE THE FIRST JOB HE DID FOR US, I NO LONGER OBTAIN MULTIPLE BIDS, AND REGULARLY RECOMMEND HIM TO FRIENDS. HIS BRICK AND STONE WORK ARE BEAUTIFUL AND METICULOUS. HE IS VERY UP FRONT ABOUT WHAT HE CAN AND CANNOT DO--FOR EXAMPLE, HE WILL NOT BUILD THE SCREENED-PORCH WE WANT TO ADD ADJACENT TO THE PATIO. HE STANDS BEHIND HIS SHRUBS AND TREES AND REPLACES, W/O QUESTION, PLANT MATERIALS THAT DIE W/IN THE FIRST YEAR FOLLOWING INSTALLATION. HE OCCASIONALLY WILL DO SPRING AND FALL CLEANUPS FOR HIS INSTALLATION CLIENTS; I WILL SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN LESS PLEASED WITH THAT EFFORT THAN WITH THE INSTALLATION WORK--THE LATTER IS CHARGED BY THE HOUR RATHER THAN THE JOB, AND I HAVE FOUND THE OCCASIONAL CREW MEMBER TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS SITUATION. HOWEVER, B/C HE PRIMARILY DOES INSTALLATION WORK, MY RATINGS BELOW DO NOT REFER TO MAINTENANCE AT ALL.
