OBED PLUMBING

He came to my home in the PM hours and was very unprofessional. He only cares about the money and will do a lousy job in getting it. He will not follow up when contacted about the lousy job. He won't call you back to make corrections. He came to my home with an old outdated snake that did not have the proper head on it. I had water all over my basement the next morning. Left messages for him would not call me back period. Please call a real plumber and not this back yard want to be side plumber who is only looking for money to pay his bills.

We purchased our new home in May of 2000 as brand new construction which of course means that all of the homes plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems were brand new at the time.  In August of 2008, we noticed some water that was pooling in the bottom of the Kitchen Cabinet directly below the double basin kitchen sink.  On closer inspection, I noticed that the 8 year old Kitchen Garbage Disposal had developed a crack in the plastic housing of the disposal unit and it was of course the source of the water leak.
At that particular time, I realized that a new Kitchen Garbage Disposal Unit was needed and contacted BGE Home Services for the replacement.  BGE Home Services came out a few days later an installed a brand new identical type of Garbage Disposal Unit - specifically the Badger 3/4 HP Unit by Insinkerator with a 3 year manufacturers warranty.
5 years later in September of 2013 - this replacement unit developed the identical problem and once again the plastic housing cracked on the Garbage Disposal causing another water leak underneath the Kitchen Sink.
This time around, I decided to splurge and buy a much higher quality type of Kitchen Garbage Disposal Unit and with that said I purchase a unit where the housing of the unit was constructed out of stainless steel rather than plastic.  Specifically I purchased the Insinkerator Evolution Excel 1 HP Unit from Home Depot for $339.00 with a 7 year manufacturers in-home service & repair warranty.
My only problem was finding someone to install this new unit.
This problem was immediately solved when I called Obed Muringani of Muringani Plumbing.
I called Obed on Thursday morning 09/05/2013 and explained to him that I had purchased this new Garbage Disposal Unit the evening before and I was in need of tying to find a good qualified plumber to remove the old leaking garbage disposal unit and then do the installation and retrofit of the new unit that I had just purchased.
Obed advised me that he could take care of everything for me for $175 and he could be at my house within the hour.
I can't say enough about how happy that I am with the service that Obed provided.
He showed up within the hour and did everything as promised for the quoted price of $175.00
I also pointed out to Obed that there were some other areas under the kitchen sink that had just begun leaking; he quickly diagnosed the sources of those problems ( a cracked PVC Drain Pipe and a faulty seal around one of the kitchen sinks drain basins) - Obed advised that he could make the additional repairs for $60.00 of which I happily agreed to.
While I'm not 100% sure as to how long that he was here - I'm guessing it was about 2 1/2 hours in total; but all told, this was the best $235.00 that I've ever spend on a home repair.
I would enthusiastically recommend Obed to anyone that is need of a very honest and fair plumber; he's an absolute credit and asset to his trade and profession.

Obed called us back within a few hours of submitting a request online. He called me that night, but I wasn't able to return his call. He called me the next morning, and offered to come out right away. He came at 8:30, and took care of the problem quickly. Additionally, he told us how to fix the leak in the drain (right below where the sink drains out) because the fitting was stripped. He told us to get another part from home depot and use silicone to seal it. He didn't charge us extra. He didn't tell us we needed a whole new set of pipes. He was helpful, honest, and he beat out the competitions prices. We'd certainly use him again!

It was an excellent experience and I would use Obert Plumbing again. He is a very nice and patient man.
