Home Inspection
I didn't cancel, and a representative showed up on the day agreed upon, but told me he would not perform the test since he saw a small spot of mold. The spot was less than 1/4 inch in diameter. I was told to spray the spot with a bleach and water mixture and he would come back the next day. Since I had already given them my credit card number, guess what? They charged me $95.00 for the 1st visit, $95.00 for the second visit, and $75.00 for two air samples. The company called me with the results a week later and claimed that I needed to have an emergency mold abatement performed, and recommended a company they were familiar with (no surprise here!). I contacted another company who came out, performed the tests, and guess what??? The mold levels were low and beneath acceptable limits. I was ripped off by Homesteaders!!!
