Seemed to be very knowledgeable. However, did no respond to another plumbing call where I left several messages and finally gave up and found someone else.

All went very well.

I discovered a water main leak (homeowner's side) in my front yard late Thursday afternoon. The local utility came and shut off the water, since hundreds (thousands?) of gallons were pouring into the yard. After calling numerous friends, I finally got a plumber recommendation-- Dave's Quality Plumbing--and called him about 8:30 p.m. Dave said he would rearrange his Thursday schedule so he could repair the leak the next morning. (I couldn't sleep the next morning, so I got up and started digging, hoping to find the leak. Eureka! It was so satisfying to follow the underground clues and track it down!) Before Dave arrived, he kept me informed by phone as to when I could expect him, and also let me know that several different companies would be stopping by to mark underground utilities for digging purposes. (Uh-oh. Digging was already done.) Once Dave arrived, he and his assistant went right to work, struggled for quite some time to remove a rusted thread end that had broken off inside the connection, replaced the rusted out steel fitting with a brass fitting, and were finished in about 2 hours. Bonus #1: They patiently answered all of my questions. Bonus #2: They filled in the hole I had dug. Bonus #3: I noticed that I had a flat tire, so they pumped it up with their compressor, and I was able to drive it down the street to the gas station for repair. Call Dave; you will be glad you did!

I was out of town during Hurricane Irene. When the electricity went out our sump pump stopped working and we had flooding in the basement. After calling a company to tear up the carpet and get the basement dry and with another storm coming, I called Dave's Quality Plumbing to check out our sump pump and repair/replace it. Dave called me back the same day, looked at the sump pump and replaced a broken one for me, which was important because there was another big storm coming the same week. As I have used Dave before for our plumbing needs, I trusted his judgement completely. This was done the day after I called him. Quick service considering alot of people were having plumbing/flooding problems. I also called Dave's Quality Plumbing for more work the following week. We will always call him first for our needs. Dave's Quality Plumbing is the best!

Very nice job, the price was reasonable and it seemed to be billed by the actual time, not adding on extra for travel time as far as I could tell, he said he'd be here in an hour and he was! A trouble free and pleasant experience with Dave's Plumbing. I was wary because of a previous plumber for same problem 2 years earlier. This other plumber snaked it for a couple of hours, used the wrong size snake and each time he got a different size from the truck I was charged 25.00 and he brought in 3 or 4. I'd never heard of or experienced this before. It was messy and after a couple of hours he couldn't clear it, said the backyard plumbing would have to be dug out and he gave an estimate. I refused that as this was a very new house and extremely clean. A second plumber used acid and cleared it in 15 minutes. I didn't expect to pay so much more hourly to the first plus all those "extras" and travel time than Washington DC rates. I protested the bill to the company to no avail. Dave's Quality Plumbing was a JOY to do business with, highly recommended, so happy to have found someone reputable and professional and I was very impressed with this whole experience.
