I was very pleased with the entire process. I have a weekend cabin in Port Republic. I came to check on it after one of the many recent cold spells. The furnace which was about 25 years old failed. The inside temperature was 31 degrees. I quickly called Leitch as my Bro-in-law had used them before and was pleased. They promptly came out and inspected the system. They were very thorough with the explanation and provided easy to understand details. I decided to replace the furnace. The price was fair. They installed it the next day. You couldn't even tell they were there except for a shiny new furnace. It was nice that I didn't have to be there when they did the work. I signed up with them for their service contract too.

Below was our original review. We were very upset about a and quot;no show, no calland quot;. The morning after this happened, they called. The call was promped by the messages I had left with their answering service. Their computers had and quot;droppedand quot; the appointment, and they had no record of it being made. They IMMEDIATELY sent a technician out, who fixed the problem and helped trouble shoot other issues in the house. He was very polite, professional, and apologetic about the problem we had the previous day. After this experience, I won't hesitate to call them again.


We've been having several problems with the A/C on a house we purchased in January 2013. On Thursday, June 13, 2013 my husband called Leitch Heating and Air shortly after 11:00 a.m. and described the problem. We presume this is the company that installed the system in the home when it was built as the label on the unit has their name and telephone number. The person with whom my husband spoke gave us a scheduled time of 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 for someone to come look at the system. On the scheduled day (today) I waited until 4:20 p.m. and called the company. I discovered the office was closed when I got the answering service. The service told me they would page the technician and have them call me. At 5:20 p.m., I still had not received a call and called back. The answering service told me again they would page the technician and have them call me. At 6:20 p.m., I still had not received a call and called back a third time. The answering service told me they would call the dispatcher to contact the technician and someone would call me. When I asked if there was anything else we could do the answering service told me this was the best they could do. It is now after 9:00 p.m. and we still have not received a phone call or seen a technician. I'm a little surprised at the number good reviews for this company, although the most recent was five months ago so maybe management has changed since then. I will be calling another company and will not call Leitch Heating and Air again.
I obviously cannot grade the price or the quality of work performed, but the lack of common courtesy and unprofessional behavior are certainly worthy of the F grade.

They came out on the Saturday we called them and had our heater up and running in 15 min. The technician determined it was a blown capacitor of some kind and had the replacement part in his van. We are very satisfied with their service and will use them in the future for our HVAC needs.

they did a good job although I think that their prices are a bit high. They came when scheduled and cleaned up when they were done. I must say that I did have an issue with their billing. I paid $4000.00 of a total $4800.00 invoice before the job was complete. I asked that upon completion they invoice me for the balance. When they sent me the first invoice upon completion, there was a and quot;lateand quot; fee added to the balance. I called them and asked how could this be late when I had just received the first invoice? I also asked them to itemized the final $800 balance as there was a charge for register covers that I did not need as I supplied my own covers. The person I spoke to said she would get back to me. Well needless to say she never did and then I get another invoice with another late fee and no breakdown of the bill. Long story short, never did get the breakout even after speaking with the sales person who I dealt with. I just paid the balance minus the late fees. Based on that, I probably won't use them again.

With this company, you sign a contract for a year of service. The contract includes two free services a year which includes all the general upkeep like checking and changing the filter and they will come out any additional time through out the year and you only have to pay for the parts not labor. They have a checkpoint on their bill which includes 40 technical areas that they check and insure are in good working order.

I have been happy with their service. A friend recommended them to us. We started with them last year. They put in a heat pump for us last summer and they were here in the fall or winter. My interaction with them has been very positive. They were very courteous and good. When the seasons changed and I had them come out, they came out immediately and took a look at something that I couldn’t get to work immediately and fixed it for me. I spent about $150 to have the air filters changed and service the heater. When I called, they called back immediately. I asked if the service technician would give me a call when he was ready to come to my house, probably when he was like a half hour out, because I hate to get a five-hour window, they did that for me and were very inclined to do that. They were very responsive. I would recommend them to others. They have been pleasant to deal with. I would continue to use them in the future.

After a frustrating experience with another local company, I found leitch on Angies list and called them up. Jerry, one of their managers came out, gave me an honest opinion on cost, several options, and his personal cell number to call him as the project began. The only hiccup with the project was the coordination with the gas company, but jerrry worked that over the holidays so the house had heat upon my return. Great service, great value, and a warranty as welll. Iàm confident that Leitch will ensure the heating-ac system is functional throughout its life.

It took a bit longer than I had anticipated, but they did get the A/C system in in two days. However to complete the job they had to come back on two separate occassions (scheduled). But they were very knowledgable and very professional.
