Great customer service.  I already had the problem diagnosed by another company that was trying to overcharge for the replacement of the pump($2800 labor & matreials).  I looked up other providers on Angie's list.   I  called Calvert Well Drilling Co  to get a rough quote and based on questions asked and information I provided they were able to provide a rough estimate for the replacement of my well pump of $1,600 for labor and materials.  I called back later that day to schedule the service and left a message, Sharon called me back promptly and scheduled me for the next day.  They were scheduled to come out between 9-9:30 am, however it was raining in the morning, they called to let us know that they would be out as soon as the rain stopped and that they had not forgotten about us and we were on the schedule.   When they arrived everything went smoothly.   They replaced the pump with no issues, only took them 1 1/2 hours of labor (other companies quoted 4 hours).  The pull charge and hourly labor charge was reasonable and even the cost of the pump was competitive.  Total job came in below the estimate at $1,445.   I would defintely call Calvert Well Drilling Co. again if  I ever need service of my well or pump.  True professionals and a real pleasure to work with.  They made a stressful time not so stressful.

Woke up expecting to take shower and go to work. Instead, no water pressure in the house. My 14 year old well pump apparently died. I called and left a voice mail at the office around 7am. They returned my call about an hour later and promised same day, by 1pm service call.

The two repair guys showed up around 11am--a pleasant surprise. After a quick check of my supply system, they determined that the pump was indeed dead and a replacement was needed. Within 1 hour and 45 minutes, the job was done and my pressure is now MUCH improved over the previous pump. (I asked for 1 hp replacement vs the 3/4 hp pump that it replaced in a 250 foot well.)

While the total price is fair for what I think is a no hassle repair, I will say that the pump alone is about $650-800 online....but then I would have needed to do the work to replace it. Labor was only $100, but a small machine used to lift the pump out of the well was an add-on $150. Odd way to break out the cost, I think. Anyway, the pump was $1100 from this company...so their price was even above retail. But, Hey! I didn't even get my hands dirty.

All in all, the two guys had 36 years experience between them and they did the job very efficiently and effectively. Really easy in and out with no evidence of them being there when it was all done. Maybe the grass was bent over, but no damage to the yard. Would I used them again? Sure. Once every 10 years or so....I hope.
