He arrived at the appointed time of 7:30 a.m., with all the tools necessary to do the job. He worked fast and cleaned up after himself. It was a small job, and while he placed fans on it to dry, I pointed out some obvious seams left in work that another contractor had done. Tyler explained that that was the difference between the hand finished way that he did his work, compared to the broadknife way that lots of people were using now. I asked him for an estimate on repairing the seams via the hand method, and he said that if he did it while he was on-site, he could cut a break on the price. We agreed, and that work looked so good, I now wish I could have him do every corner and seam in my home! He is a little on the expensive side, but the difference in the way his work looks, compared to the other contractor (who I have already given a review) is incredible. I would pay the extra to have him back again. Very pleasant. He worked alone on my job, but stated that, depending on the size of the job, he has 4 main guys and can call in others, to assist him with the project. He states that he trains the finishers himself and works along side them. He learned from his father, who started the business, and has been doing drywall work since he was 8 years old. He said he is 53, now.
Description of Work: Drywall repair from spill upstairs that stained and split a seam in the kitchen ceiling. I also had him do some re-taping and mudding and sanding of some other existing seams done by another contractor that looked shoddy compared to Tyler's work, after it was done.
