Potomac Pet Re-Treat

I have used Potomac Pet ReTreat for several years and I cannot give them enough praise! Lindsay is so willing to go beyond normal expectations. Everyone who has had to deal with my difficult cat is so patient and kind. They treat him as if he were part of their own family. I love the extra service of bringing in mail, watering plants, and alerting me to potential problems in the home. They really are the best!!

Our dog has a great time boarding with this firm.  It's like sleep away camp for him, with a ton of playing.  We checked out the facility, the dogs sleep in a common room, make friends, and hang out.  Ripley always gets excited when he sees Lindsay, because he knows it's going to be fun!  Much better than taking him to a kennel where he'll be in a cage. 

She is prompt with the pick up and return.  Prices are reasonable.

I don't board my dog anywhere else.

They were less expensive than a lot of the other ones. They have a website, and the prices are listed on the website. I was really happy with them, and I don't trust that many people with my pets. I went to them because somebody else recommended them to me, but I am staying with them, because I felt that they did such a good job.They came on time, and they did what they were supposed to do, they stayed for as long as they were supposed to stay.

Perfect. This is the 2nd time we have used their dog boarding service and we are very happy...and the dogs are happy too :) This past weekend we had to fly out of town and needed someone to watch our animals. Having used Potomac Pet Re-Treat before, we simply had to call or email them the dates to confirm they had space and give an hour window for the pickup and drop off. Lindsay arrived on-time for both pickup and drop off. This is our second time using their service, but before using them for the first time we checked out several kennels in the area (Gaithersburg / Germantown / Potomac) and found all of them to be far below the standard we would leave our animals at. After contacting Potomac Pet Re-Treat, they requested that we view their facility and bring our dogs so they can ensure the dogs will fit in. So, we (dogs included) visited the facility and found Lindsay and Stephen (the business owners) to be some of the nicest people you will ever meet and we could tell that they really loved dogs and enjoy taking care of them. Our dogs liked the facility and got along with the 2 other dogs that were boarded there. Facility: Lindsay and Stephen own a home for this business and the dogs have free roam of the fenced back-yard, as well as free access to an internal area that is climate controlled. We provided them with our crates since our small dogs are crate trained, but normally the dogs are boarded cage less. The area is kept very clean and someone is always home with the animals. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with their service. I found the price to be very reasonable for the quality of service they provide. They are very professional and take good care of my animals while I am away.
