It started out well and just turned into a constant battle to get what the insurance paid for and what came out of my pocket.
Description of Work: After a tornado did major damage to my home Mr. Bowie was hired to make the repairs. He had done work to a neighvor and we were desperate to have our home back. Just a few things that still stand out in my mind, the house was painted with water base paint over oil base and the paint was coming off like sticky glue, told that it needed time to dry and I was charged extra for what the insurance company didn't pay, the hinges and door knobs were painted, charged to paint a bathroom that was wall papered, all of the woodwork and doors need to be replaced, when I try to paint, the paint just rolls off, its a mess and very expensive., the carpet is "rolling" all over the house, where I had it pulled up the padding, which I paid extra for, was the cheapest you can buy,,so is the carpet I am told and they were called dozens of times and would not come out to repair, finally the carpet person said he was out of business, the deck was nailed together and the boards curled up and came apart, a used storm door was installed instead of a new one, this was corrected after comfronting, windows that were to be replaced were fixed with parts instead of new windows, this was never corrected, siding was replaced with one grade above builders grade and he was paid for quality grade, screens were to be replaced and instead the old frames were found in the rubble and repaired, this he did make good after much fighting. This is just a small sample of the work done by Bowie Construction.
