The estimate was $1,025 and I did not go with him for the fertilization. He is a nice guy and he apparently worked for my builder as a subcontractor. He prepared my lawn and laid the sod. The ground was not prepared properly when he laid the sod. Nobody will tell me who is to blame and nobody will fix it. A lot of the sod did not take. They put the real grass sod on top of clay, stone and packed dirt. Each one of them blamed the other one. He is a multi-purpose person and does things other than sod such as mowing but I haven’t used him for that. The price went through my builder. When I needed some replacement, it took him forever. He would not guarantee anything that I purchased or that he didn’t purchase from his initial supplier. I would recommend getting everything in writing. I did not get a written agreement.
