Butler Tree Service

Mr. Butler's crew showed up at the time planned and they completed the job before he was even able to show up! They planned 2 hours and were done early. The ladies were extremely pleased with the job. Very polite, professional and did a great job cleaning up the whole yard. The stumps were completed eliminated. (we will have to do the seeding next spring). Mr. Butler was glad to hear how great the crew is.

Because of weather and my availability there were a couple of false starts teo the work. They were professional, responsive to my needs and did a great job cleaning up. they are not cheap but they are worth it if you a protecting iconic trees.

A storm had brought down a huge silver maple in our backyard and across the neighbor's fence. They responded promptly to my phone call and Mr. Butler came that weekend to give us an estimate. His was the best, so we accepted and scheduled the work. The men arrived on time and worked very efficiently. They were respectful of both our property and our neighbor's. A few of the things that impressed me: There was a circular garden around where the tree had stood which was ringed by a border of stacked slate, some of which was knocked over and they took the time to fix it. We have a 1000 gal koi pond close to where the tree was and I had been concerned that when they took down the remainder of the tree that something might happen to it but not one piece of debris fell in.They cleaned up so well that you actually had to go down to the work area to see any traces of sawdust. They even took the leaf blower around to the front yard where they had been carrying everything to make sure nothing remained and blew off the cars too. My husband and I were very happy with the quality of the services performed and will be recommending them to our friends and neighbors. The only complaint I can think of is that I had to go outside and do some gardening because they did such a good job that the rest of the yard looked messy by comparison!!!

They did a good job trimming the trees, an excellent job cleaning up. They even stacked the wood.

The crew showed up on time and worked at a very good pace throughout the day. Each of the trees was first stripped of its limbs by an expert climber wearing gaffs and a safety strap who used a rope to lower each major branch that he cut using a chainsaw. Once the limbs were all off and had been disposed of in the portable chipper that had been brought on site, the climber began at the top of the tree cutting sections of the tree's trunk as he moved down. These logs were removed from the site via the company's large trunk which was loaded using a Bobcat tractor with an unusual front-end gripper that carried the logs from where they had fallen.
Once all of the trees had been disposed of, the crew brought in a stump grinder that got rid of the last few inches of the trees.
Lastly, the crew did a first-rate cleanup job, raking up all of the saw dust, pine needles and wood chips that had blanketed the ground.
We were extremely impress with Butler Tree Service and will certainly use them again when the need arises.

This went very smoothly and without any drama. They worked carefully, while clearly competent at the work being done. There were plenty of crew on hand to handle removing the tree debris in an expedited fashion. They left my yard cleaner than they'd found it!

I had a very large Silver Maple that needed to come down before it came down on the house. That plus several stumps from previous tree removals and a seriously large brush pille that I was not allowed to burn in town limits. Billie Butler had a crew of six hard workers show up on time and they worked all day and got the job done. They came prepared with a giant chipper, industrial size stump grinder and a Bobcat with claws. It was a hot day but the crew worked tirelessly.
I even had them reserve and cut up some of the wood for firewood.

Butler came over as asked the same day as the tree came into the house. He removed this 40 year old maple by careful sawing and lifting (not dragging) the branches off the roof, thus eliminating any additional damage. We had a number of trees removed from around the house. The work was done very professionally and the stumps were ground without scattering debris in the area. Every aspect of the job was done in a professional manner.

If I could give an A+++, I would. Fantastic job! Ann, brother Billy and crew did an amazing job. Crane work was sensational and the crew member who climbed and cut trees was unbelievable. She's excellent and her prices are the best around. Her work is outstanding. She came when she said she was going to, and she did an excellent job of removing trees and cleaned up magnificently. The price was better than anyone else's that I got estimates from. I will use her again but I hope I don't have to. She was the best because I got other estimates and they were all higher, but then none of them could have done a better job. She came in with her staff and they did their job. They removed the trees and didn't do any damage. They were efficient and they cleaned up, and that was very nice. They left no mess whatsoever.

I am out of state, and needed to get some tree and grounds work done in Bethesda, MD. It was a lot of difficult work, because the property had been neglected for many years. Bessie Butler Tree Service was recommended by several people, and they did a great job. Anne was very helpful and accomodating to my particular situation. They were remarkably fast, very tidy on the site, and I thought the cost was reasonable (though I did not research other options). I fully intend to use them again in the Spring.

We had a windstorm go through and put a tree onto the house, damaging the roof. I went around the neighborhood looking for a tree service. Even though he was extremely busy, Billy Butler came out that evening and removed the tree, carefully lifting it off the house using a bucket loader. Butler is geared to clear tracts of land for housing developments so he has an impressive array of heavy equipment. He explained to me that he had a lot of houses with trees on them and he would not be available to haul the tree away until he had gotten rid of the emergencies. Since I had been one of those emergencies, I was happy to agree. I also had Billy give me an estimate on removing a total of 9 large trees and grinding the stumps of 8 of them. I paid Butler $3,900 for this service; a very good value. I allowed the job to spread out over about a month because I knew there was a lot of damage in the area. All services were performed with impressive professionalism. Billy trimmed up one of the trees near to the house that had sustained damage when the first tree fell for no additional cost. I requested he leave me about a cord of wood and some wood chips. The wood was neatly stacked in the yard and a dump truck load of chips were left in the rear of the house. When the stumps were ground, he had some of his crew hold up a tarp so no chips would strike the house. After each phase of the operation, the yard was raked and left very presentable. Butler Tree Service sends nothing to the landfill. Large trees are taken for lumber, and the rest is either chipped as hardwood of softwood mulch. I am extremely pleased with the price and the work and would enthusiastically recommend Butler. Scheduling can be a problem when Billy and his crew are very busy, but once a commitment is made he is very punctual.
