I am doing remarkably well at this point. He determined that I was currently being treated for the wrong diagnosis at the time. I had a larger problem with mold toxins, and when this was addressed, I started to regain my health. He has developed a way of recognizing what is called " genetic susceptibilities" in a patient by a simple blood test called HLA DR , among other many important discoveries about our innate immune responses and treatments. If these are present , individuals will not have effective antigen (foreign invader) recognition processes occur that leave them with the inability to properly eliminate them from their body. This creates a persistent uncontrolled inflammatory response from one's own immune system  Dr. Shoemaker has identified as "The Biotoxin Pathway ."This has become one of the most important determinants for a chronically ill person. At this time I have seen many individuals who have ultimately found out that this was the underlying factor for them not being able to get well despite their current medical  treatment regimens. Without this information the underlying cause cannot be addressed. I am currently working with local area physicians to help educate them. Those who have been treating these kind of patients are very interested and are beginning to recognize the value of this man's incredible work.  Individuals who have had no hope for years are finally understanding what has gone wrong and why, and are finally getting the help they need.
