Description of Work: My husband and I communicated with Barry Nabozny, Re/Max Premier Associates owner and broker, about the sale of our home. Aaron Urban-Zukerberg, a realtor with the firm; Barry; my husband; and I met to discuss the firm's representing us. Barry and Aaron presented information on the prices of the few comparable houses that had sold recently in our area, talked with us about the importance of setting a realistic asking price in today's real-estate market, the wisdom of setting a competititive commission rate, and other pertinent topics. After they walked through the house, Aaron and Barry talked with us about the importance of staging the property so that it would appeal to prospective buyers. The home was staged (including the application of neutral paint throughout the house, removal of some pieces of furniture, and rearrangement of other pieces as well as exterior power washing and shrub trimming and other lawn work ). Then Barry and Aaron placed a virtual tour on the firm's website, prepared print materials that captured the essence of the property, and hosted an open house. The house was on the market for exactly one month before we had a contract. The settlement occurred yesterday, and we will depost our proceeds from the sale in our bank today.
