energy audit
 + -1 moreThey were very nice and came on time. They didn?t really tell us anything that we didn?t know. When other people do an energy audit they would do a blower door test, but Proenergy Consultants did not. They used a heat sensor, but I don?t know how accurate the testing was. They insisted that it was accurate, though.
Description of Work: We used Proenergy Consultants for energy efficiency auditing.

energy audit
 + -1 moreHe was able to easily determine the causes of my high utility bills, temperature differences, and condensation on my windows, from his entire visit. He told us most of the problems on the spot, but also followed that up the next day with a complete report. The report explained some of the concepts he had mentioned, which honestly went over my head. It also included the test numbers, the problem areas, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, his recommendations to fix the problems, not just band-aid the symptoms. Finally, I liked the fact he was not a home improvement, HVAC, or insulation contractor, he gave us an independent, objective opinion.
Description of Work: The energy auditor did an in-depth interview regarding my experiences in my house and what the problems were. He then did a full inspection of my house, including the attic and basement. Finally, he did what he called a "blower door test", and re-inspected the entire house with a infra-red camera.

We also provide commercial energy auditing (building performance testing)and commercial utility auditing. Finally, we provide Commercial/Fleet petroleum auditing, to help companies with fleet vehicles save on costly unleaded and diesel fuel.
Although we do give specific recommendations on what repairs need to be completed, we do not do the repairs. This is the only way to remain impartial.
