 + -1 moreI am especially thankful to Maureen because she was able to get me out my rut of depression. It involved something as simple as getting rid of heavy drapes at the windows and letting sunshine in to going down into the basement and asking do you really need to hang on to this or the other thing. Before I couldn't see the forest for the trees but she was truly able to clear out the trees out so I could see the beauty of the forest and plan a healthy future in it. I have had to turn to Angie's List for subsequent business, i.e. home inspection, roofing, and other home services.
Description of Work: Had picked up business card at Boomer/Sr. Expo and finally called. My mother died 2 years prior and as a retired teacher and erstwhile doll and other collector left much behind. Fred, who I believe is president of a national appraisal group, gave opinion and took some items for further research. More importantly, he suggested I contact his wife, Maureen, who is part of the company and works on an hourly basis to come out and give direction. She could recommend some to action, some to sell outright, some to trash, and some to keep for memories. She then facilitated the appropriate phone calls to appropriate companies. This process took a few days and the varied nature of this assignment made it difficult for me to pick a category because Maureen's involvement especially took it beyond mere appraisal.
