AWFUL doesn't even begin to describe. We will never use this service again and would discourage anyone from using this company. The first few cleanings were decent, then switched to a new team that were inconsistent, smoked in our house, unprofessional and extremely poor quality. The floors looked like ****. There was dirt behind the toilets, mounds of dust left behind, etc. The owner, Rose, is not pleasant or responsive. About a month ago, the team drove through our newly regraded yard and got stuck, leaving 150 feet with 1 foot deep tire marks. It cost over $850 to regrade and fix. They refused to pay 2/3 of the invoice, after committing to pay the full invoice. Then, during this time, they tried to call to raise the rate, which was already way too high for the poor quality of service, and then never showed up to clean again. We own a towing business, it could have been a simple call to the us, as the owners of our property, and we could have pulled them out easily. When we called, she denied all of the above and hung up on us and said she'd mail back the key. She claimed someone else must have a key to our house and smoked in the house. Baffling. In the state of MD, malicious destruction refers to willfully and maliciously destroying, injuring, or defacing property belonging to someone else. The charge and potential sentence you face for this Maryland property damage offense depends wholly on the value of the damage committed. If the damage is greater than $500, you will face misdemeanor charges and be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison and fines of up to $2,500.

It went well! the company was very professional and showed up on time and ready to go. Our apartment was sparkling when they left. We have two dogs and a lot of stuff, so they did a great job working around that. We will definitely use them again!

A Step Above The Rest Cleaning Service does not even service the Gambles area and we always send a team of two or three employees. We do not have any record of this member. Our primary concern is with customer service and satisfaction and we are happy to discuss this further with any potential customer."

I couldn't have been more pleased with the cleaning. The service sent three girls and they had the job done in 2 1/2 hours. Everything was nice and clean and sparkly and the rugs turned out wonderful.

In the beginning the service was great. But over time there were some issues.
Despite asking the owner when someone new would be coming to my house, I was repeatedly surprised by NEW people.
Although my schedule is fairly flexible, I had asked, on numerous occasions, to let me know if the time of service was
going to vary from the normal (11am-1pm). This request was NOT honored. When I spoke to the owner about this problem
today, she told me that I needed to understand her needs!!!!
The employees of the company have always been good workers, and, quite frankly, more professional than the boss.
At one time this company was cleaning my house, my son's house, my son's office and his grandmother's apartment..
I would have thought that this amount of business from one family would have warranted a little more effort to please the customer.

"The weather lately played a major reason for the team to arrive to this client's home a little later than usual. We try to go out of our way to reschedule a client's cleaning whenever a client's cleaning date does not work for them. We do not lock anyone into contracts and do not charge for a skipped cleaning. I have never charged this client for any of her many skipped cleaning even that it take more time to clean the home after a skipped cleaning. There are some things that are out of our control, weather being one of them. Our primary concern is with customer service and satisfaction, but the safety of our employees must always be a primary concern. I purchased the housecleaning service from Angies List, but when i called to schedule service, A Step Above the Rest said they did not service my location. However, they fulfilled the coupon and within a week came to my house. The 2 woman that arrived were very professional and friendly. They went far above and beyond what I ever expected. My house looked amazing. I wish they would include my area. I would have them come every other week! I highly recommend them!!

When i initially called for the appt it took the supervisor a day to call me back to make the appt. They did good work I just wished they used stronger cleaning agents in these areas. I like a fresh scent and I saw a couple faint shoe prints in kitchen after they left. In the master bathroom, my husband leaves all his shaving creams etc all over his counter. The cleaners organized and left them arranged neatly on the counter and also left the love note I left for him on his mirror. They didn't disturb that item. In the shower, the walks were cleaned but there is some tough calcium deposits on my shower fixtures from well water and they were not successful in removing all deposits. They started at counter level and finished with the tile floor leading from the kitchen and out the door to leave all the floors free from tracking on their way out.

So far, I have been very happy with them. Rose does a great job of communicating. My 2000 square foot house, 1 occupant, is $90 to clean if I do 2 cleanings a month. Highly recommended.

I was so please that the three women sent to clean my house were so willing to work with me to shift my 3 dogs around to keep them out of the way. They were expert at their tasks and very, very nice.

The cleaners arrived about 15 minutes early. I was to have 2 cleaners for 2 hours. They left 15 minutes early from the time they began cleaning. Items were not moved when dusted, but rather dusted around. The floors and bathrooms were adequately cleaned and they did bring their own cleaning supplies/equipment. The house did not have a "clean" smell upon completion. I did not feel anyone was particularly friendly, although Rose, the owner, was responsive and accommodating. I would have hoped they had done an outstanding, rather than a fair, job in hopes of generating a future customer.

I purchased the deal with Angie's list and they cleaned all of my windows for $89.00. I had some very large windows as well, not just the average double hung windows. They also cleaned my front glass door, as well as the windows in the storm door. I was not expecting this! IF they offer another deal I would totally purchase another deal. They did an excellent job! I would recommend them to anyone.
