It went great! Doug is incredibly knowledgeable and it was a pleasure learning what I could from his decades of experience. Absolute will use going forward as I purchase additional properties.

Douglas Gillette was fantastic! He was extremely thorough, pointed out and explained things during inspection and even sent a full report complete with photos to my email. He was also very personable which made it feel like you were dealing with someone you already knew and trusted.

We contacted Anderson Home Inspection and arranged an appointment within a few days. Doug Gillette arrived on time and got right to work. Doug was very professional and through in his inspection. He walked the yard around the house and checked the foundation, the drainage and the roof to mention a few things. He told us the positive results, as well as, the results that needed out attention. The inspection was through on the outside and the inside of our house and also included attention to plumbing, electrical, windows, garage, fireplace, and decks to mention only a few categories of review. We were given a complete detailed report on all aspects of the inspection. All of our questions were answered and Doug was very helpful in his expertise. I would highly recommend Doug Gillette and the Anderson Home Inspection.

It was great. Doug was very thorough (e.g. when we arrived, he had already started and was looking at the roof). He also was really good about making sure we understood what he was seeing as he went along. He was also very attentive to detail (e.g. he pointed out that the coolant line on the HVAC unit was missing some of its insulation). In addition to being knowledgeable and thorough, Doug also was easy to get along with and kept the inspection interesting and lively.

Well-informed, helpful, courteous, professional and comprehensive are adjectives for Doug Gillette's home inspection.  I have an older home, so I wanted to know what needs attention.  Boy! Did Doug let me know...which I appreciate!  He went over the report with me in easy to understand terms and write-ups.  Photos were clear.  My report was emailed to me before he left.  It's pdf so very easy to print out and understand.  He was punctual (actually there when before I returned home for my apt).  He answered my questions.  I also really liked how he offered tips.  After reading the report, my realtor said "Wow!  He's so thorough. He checked everything!"  I plan to use him when I buy a house and I'll refer him to others.

The reviews are spot on.  Doug is the best.  He explains everything and tells it like it is.  He is very knowledgeable and pragmatic regarding everything.  He was on-time, courteous and full of information.  We got the report on the same day and the Radon report 3 days later as promised.  I will be using his services again.  Gerry from NJ recommends Doug.

Doug arrived early and had already started by the time I arrived. He was very thorough, readily answering questions and telling me about every step of the inspection. He took me through the entire report and a had it in my email folder when I got home.

This is the second time I've used Anderson Home Inspection, but the first time for my own home purchase. Doug inspected a home purchase for my daughter 5 years ago and I knew I would be calling him again if I ever needed a home inspection. Doug is thorough, informative and knowledgable. He explains everything he's doing in layman terms. Working in a methodical manner the house was inspected inside and out. He left small arrow shaped stickys on some areas so a repair person would have no problem locating the problem area. The computer program Doug used allowed him to email a comprehensive inspection report with large clear pictures accompanied by detailed descriptions of problems as soon as the inspection was completed. This was money well spent!

Doug Gillette was great.  He was professional, timely, and very informative.  He took the necessary time to look at everything, gave us suggestions, and explained why it should be corrected.  Doug went over his findings one by one in detail and with pictures.  What we were reviewing we received as an email before he left.  The inspection report is in details and very easy to follow.
We will use Anderson Home Inspections and hopefully Doug again on future purchases.

Doug was great. He arrived a few minutes early. He explained his process and what the report would contain then was efficient and thorough doing the inspection and was eager to explain what was seeing and provide tips for future maintenance as we watched the inspection.
His inspection report was detailed with plenty of pictures as well as emailed before even leaving the property.

We arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time to find Doug already there.  He checked EVERYTHING he possibly could; inside and outside the property.  Very organized and detail oriented.  Would definitely use Doug in the future.  Highly recommend.

Doug is fantastic! He climbed up on the roof. He crept around in the crawl space. No imperfection could hide from his expert eyes! He explained everything we wanted to know about what needed replacing, what needed watching and how to maintain all the house systems in the future. His written report is detailed and has pictures so you can refer to it later as a guide.  He really knows his business and has the certifications to prove it. Not only that, he is charming and personable so the usually grueling experience is actually pleasant and enjoyable. I cannot recommend Doug Gillette highly enough. If I could, I would give him a rating of A+!

As a practicing attorney in three states, I can tell you that you would be an idiot to purchase a home without a home inspection conducted by a licensed inspector. I can also tell you that you would be a fool if you are buying in an area serviced by Doug Gillette and fail to use him. He is capable, patient and informative. Doug did a great job as our home inspector for a property we are buying.  He was early to our appointment and had already started the inspection when we arrived. I found Doug to be very knowledgeable, personable and easy to understand in explaining items relating to the property.  The home has a radient heat system, and I was pleased to find that Doug was familiar with this type of system, and he gave us good advice regarding this area.  He did not hesitate to point out both good and bad items during the inspection, and I appreciated his candor in discussing things we found. Although he was working for me, I found him to be very forthcoming about items without appearing to be trying to ?tell me what I want to hear?. I never felt rushed or pressured.
Bottom line, I feel comfortable with purchasing this house.
 Written report was timely and thorough, and covered everything we
saw during the inspection.
I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thorough

Doug did an incredible job as our home inspector for a short sale we are buying.
He was super early and had already started on the exterior inspection before I arrived. He was competent, personable and has the mentality of a teacher. I walked around with him during the inspection and he explained every little thing to me and even gave me lots of tips on what to do in the future. He also let me know that if I had any questions, issues or problems to contact him for help. His report is thorough and extremely user friendly. He goes above and beyond to ensure that you are comfortable with the current standing of your potential house.
