Installers showed up on time, explained what they were doing again, then performed the work with no input from me at all. After install, they explained the features and warranty information and left. There were no tools/parts/trash left. Excellent work!

For TERRIBLE customer service, high prices and shady work- head to Murphy's! My husband and I contacted Murphy's about filling our oil tank this winter. We'd had a cheaper company (by $0.30!) tell us they'd have to remove some of our decking in order to get to the pipe. To avoid that, we called Murphy's whom we knew the previous owner of our home had used in the past. We spoke to two people at Murphy's, one of which being the delivery driver who claimed he had been to our home and delivered oil without damaging the decking. We decided to pay more money for the delivery with Murphy's to keep our deck in place. The day of the delivery, we came home to see that the decking had simply been ripped up by the driver without as much as a courtesy call to tell us he'd ruined our deck. When I called Murphy's to express my displeasure the OWNER told me I was lying about his pricing being higher (I wasn't- Kero-Del in Glen Burnie was exactly 30 cents cheaper) and there's no way the driver did such a thing and hung up on me. This was my first time using Murphy's oil and it will be my last. That's certainly not the way to gain customers.

I have been doing business with Murphys for 4 years and had them come out to fill my fuel tank as normal. Since it was supposed to be so cold this.  weekend I had it filled when I had an 1/8 of a tank left. I got hoe checked the gauge and it said 7/8 full not completely full. The bill claims they put in 178.7 gallons and which is normal amount except I usually call when tank starts to say empty. My last four fill ups when tank was empty is as follows:
01/02/14  182 gallons
02/12/14  187 gallons
11/07/14  180 gallons
01/09/15  169 gallons
As you can see the 178 was in normal expectations but I had more fuel in my tank than normal when I called for refill and now my tank says only 7/8 full.
I called Murphys and said I had a concern with the bill and the person who I was speaking to who claimed to be the OWNER accused me of trying to rip them off. He wouldn't even listen to me and what I was trying to explain. I had me him look a the numbers referenced above and once he looked at them he got really p***** off and started telling me to take my business elsewhere which I will gladly do. I called to ask about my bill and I told I was a liar and that I was basically stupid. I will NEVER do business with them again. Please check your bills and the history of them to see if this is happening to you.

We use natural gas because of the fireplace, the stove and we've also got a gas water heater. They turned out to be the most economic. They come right to the house and check the system. We thought for a while we had a leak in our oven and they said that we had low pressure. They checked to the pump and did a little maintenance on it without charging us for maintenance and it has worked perfectly ever since. I think annually it is $900 paid in four increments quarterly. They'll come out, top up the tank year around as well as check the system and provide basic maintenance. That is what that clean up of the pump out of the tank cost. If it required new parts or replacements then we have to pay for that. The good news is that if we have any problems what so ever we can call the number and they will send their service person out to check it. They do come out quarterly. They call ahead of time and schedule a time so there is not some strange person with a big propane truck out of my front yard. They came ahead to schedule a time to do the check to see where we are in terms of the tank. They also do our heating and oil for the winter. They offer multiple services, they also claim they do heating and air conditioning but we didn't go to them or never checked that portion of their service. They offer more kind of maintenance rather than repair or replacement. Their customer service is excellent. They are prompt and it's not one of those where they tell us they will we out sometime between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., they give me a nice tight window like may be 9 to 10 and they have never really missed it. I think one time the guys showed up when we had a 9 to 10 window, he showed up at 10:05 because the previous job had taken them longer. They have been excellent. We did do comparison shopping and their price for the fuel oil and propane is very reasonable but the focus on them was the customer service as well as the extra package of doing the quarterly checks of the systems which is something I'm not skilled at. Their price is not the best out there but it is comparable to any place else. The extra service benefits really sold us on it. Their professionalism is outstanding. Their service representative comes out and he's in their uniform, he presents a professional appearance. Before he leaves he always lets us know what he found even if its nothing and lets us know if the system is good for another couple of years. They do an excellent job of telling us where we are and how the house is functioning or how the system is functioning. We love this company.

Mark Murphy came to house to give estimate and give options. Very prfessional. After accepting contract, paying 1/2 of price,
three men came and repaced a/c ( with heat pump) and oil burner. The crew removed all old machines. The crew were all very professional.

Been getting oil from Murphy's for several years now. Always next day service even after heavy snow. Never checked prices but understand they are competitive.
Disregard service date and cost entries - they're just dummy entries.

They did good work and were on time. The guy that was here was friendly but there is still a little bit of a leak.

My interactions with Murphy's have been very pleasant. Unfortunately, though I clearly indicated that I wanted regular deliveries, they waited until I called them to deliver oil. Since the tank is in the basement with no gauge, and I thought they had been filling it, I didn't call them until the oil ran out. I was just glad I wasn't out of town when the furnace quit! They promptly came out and filled the tank (about $400) and primed the system.

fine--better than prior company

They are a small local business but try to use a very big corporation. They are really family friendly. They are very content focused and customer direct. I like them a lot.

The company was amazingly responsive to our requests, and provided us an estimate the next day. They came on time the day work was scheduled and completed everything in a very professional manner. They found a few existing problems with our furnace, but were able to fix those on the spot for very little.

Very well overall. It took a couple of tries but they kept on working till they got it right.
