Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Central Maryland

Nate was fast, courteous, knowledgeable and on time. He even helped us out by offering a coupon we didn’t know about. When I went online to research our options, Mr. Rooter responded immediately and came out the same day. Not only was it a Sunday but it was also Father’s Day & they dnid not charge extra. Could we have found someone cheaper? Probably, but we had the faucet all ready to be installed and then ran into complications such that we realized my husband wasn’t going to be able to finish installation and they were ready and willing to help us out. We’d definitely use them again.

They came out twice to look at a leaky toilet. First visit was over $200, and the toilet leaked two weeks later. Second visit, another $200, and the toilet leaked hours after the tech left. The service manager said there is nothing else they can do besides replace the toilet (he's guessing it's cracked somewhere). He would give me a credit toward replacing the toilet (either through us buying our own and a discount on installation, or going through them for everything). If we get the toilet from them and install through them, $385 (that is AFTER the discount). So, in short, after two weeks of failed attempts, $400 (including diagnotic fees that apparently aren't very good, as they missed the "cracked" toilet twice), we're looking at something in the neighborhood of $800 total to fix / replace a leaky toilet. Nope, have to pass on that. Giving you $400 was obviously too much, a mistake I wish I could take back. Want to say that the two techs that came out were very nice guys. No issue with them at all. But in the end, the bottom line is we've had two trips, spent over $400, and a service manager telling me that there is nothing they can do for me except replace the toilet at what I still feel is a VERY high sum of money.

The plumber did a great job for us. Prompt, efficient, nice guy, reasonable price. I'll definitely use them again.

We bought the faucets, and Mr. Rooter installed them. The technician was exceptionally courteous, clean and professional. Despite encountering unexpected problems in removing the old faucets, he solved the problems and completed the job in a timely manner. We liked that Mr. Rooter communicated with us so promptly by email and telephone. We found their rates reasonable, especially with the senior discount.

The source of the leak was identified and fixed quickly.

The first technician cleared all the water and mud from the hole and, with the help of photos sent to his supervisor, determined that the size of the valve was 1 1/2". It was also decided that both valves should be replaced since the plumber was already doing the hard work to get there. The next day another technician came out to complete the work, but he found that the valves were actually 1 1/4" and would have to be ordered. They weren't available for a couple more days, and I had to go out of town, but he made sure the buildings still had water, which made my tenant happy. While I was away, the valves were replaced, and my tenant told me that there was more work to be done because the pipes had become misaligned. I appreciate the initiative taken to finish the work correctly, especially since I was not at home at the time.

After finally becoming annoyed with the constant dripping of the faucet in the bathtub, I decided to get it fixed.  I contacted Mr. Rooter based the experience my sister had with them.  I did an online service request on a Sunday of a holiday weekend.  Within an hour, Mr. Rooter contacted me to schedule an appointment.  I was able to get an appointment for midweek as it wasn't an emergency.  They called the day before to confirm the appointment.  On the day of the appointment, the serviceman showed up on time.  He put paper booties over his shoes as soon as he entered the house.  I showed him the problem and he knew what the problem was and the fix.  He also told me that it should be  releatively easy, but, because of the age of the fixture (over 20 years old), sometimes the part doesn't come out and then it becomes a major project to fix.  He quoted me the price which included labor, parts, and everything.  He proceeded to work and, happily, the part came out easily.  He then went to Home Depot to get the part, came back, and installed it.  He also inspected the plumbing for free which is part of any service that Mr. Rooter performs. He fixed an issue with the pipes in the basement and provided advice on another issue.  Another plus for me is that the company accepts credit cards.  I don't carry cash (especially $230) and I don't like to give checks to strangers.  I would definitely use Mr. Rooter again for any plumbing needs.
