We have used Misty Clean services for our office for about 3 years. They are responsive, communicate well and do a good job for our small business. They service our office every 2 weeks during most of the year and generally monthly during our slow season. They adapt well to our change in services, and will provide additional services when asked. They are reasonably priced and staff great people. Everyone with whom we have interacted has been pleasant and professional.

I have been using Misty Clean for a couple of months now every other week. I have a large family and a very busy work schedule and found that it was almost impossible to keep up with the general cleaning like bathrooms and dusting. The ladies come out and take care of the “general” cleaning that I need. I do NOT expect deep cleaning as we have to stay within a pretty tight budget. Every two weeks I get to see my house look so clean and pretty. The ladies are super friendly and tolerate my large dogs, not to mention with three kids of middle and high school age, believe me my house is definitely lived in. I have been very pleased with the service so far. I have also gotten to know specifics that each lady does to my liking. One lady always makes sure to arrange the blankets in the bedrooms, and another lady makes sure that there are no spots left on my sliding glass doors and fans. I love the fact that I haven’t had to clean my bathrooms since they started, and every two weeks, I get to see my kids’ beds made ?. Yesterday a new employee Megan came to my house to clean. I talked to her about the weird little pet peeves that I have like making beds and folding random blankets in the kid’s room and basement. She was sweet and so polite. What I loved most was the fact that she didn’t try to rush through my home. She took her time to really make sure the house looked great. Even my teenage daughter couldn’t get over the fact that her shelves were not only dusted great, but they were organized and neat. She even arranged all of the squish mallows on my daughters’ beds. Considering I am only contracted for a “General” clean, she far exceeded my expectations. I contacted Misty directly to compliment Megan and told her that I wouldn’t mind at all if she came back to my house. Misty responded immediately thanking me for the compliment, and we continued to text back and forth for a while after. I have read some of the comments on the review posts and it upsets me to see some of the negativity. I am paying for a general clean and that is exactly what I am getting and then some. Every business is going to have unsatisfied customers at some point, but we tend to post those negative reviews much quicker than the positive on so many wonderful businesses. It’s a shame that us humans are so quick to make judgement on a person or businesses character. I can honestly say that I have been nothing but pleased with the service Misty and her ladies have given my family. The stress of having to clean a large house after a long week is awful and Misty is literally taking the burden off my shoulders. I want to personally thank Misty and all the wonderful ladies who have helped me navigate my busy life. I have gotten to know the ladies (I work from home, so I am around when they are here), and I can’t say enough about how nice and hard working they are. Thank you so much Misty and team for making my life so much easier!!

I liked having a clean house.  The owner of the company itself was always very responsive, but they had so much turnover that you always had a different cleaner coming.  Sometimes they would send two, sometimes they would only send one, and the quality varied greatly, depending on who was sent.  The main reason we canceled was because we couldn't justify the extra expense, but also we canceled because it's just inconsistent service.  They're very responsive; the owner is very responsive any time you have an issue.

I am not usually one to take the time to conduct reviews unless the service has been exceptional or absolutely terrible. In this case, I am more than disappointed with the company and the customer service from the owner. This is long, but I feel it’s the only way to get the information across.

I hired the company many months ago once I had a second child and went back to my full time job. I utilized google and came across Misty Clean. I thought the ratings seemed decent, so I hired the company. I had never hired a cleaning service before, so this was very new to me and I wasn’t sure what to expect. The first few times, things were absolutely not cleaned as the website lists. The company was accommodating and would return to fix the problems. Here are just a few examples of the issues we had: the basement was completed neglected (they didn’t even vacuum it) , rooms not being dusted, the floor being mopped with undiluted cleaner, leaving it extremely sticky, kitchen cabinets not dusted, etc. Items of value have been thrown in the trash (a full, Costco sized, pack of razors, for example) and I’ve had to go dig through the trash bags they threw out to retrieve the items. Even though my husband stated his unhappiness with the company, I kept saying that we should give them another chance since the price was reasonable (you pay for what you get, I’ve learned), and they would come back and fix the issues I would complain about.

Last month was our last cleaning we had from them. I came home (I was the first one home), made dinner, and we all sat down to eat once my husband and kids arrived home. I found a large chip missing from my wooden, kitchen table, right next to the spot I sit for dinner every evening. I had cleaned the table off the night before after we finished dinner and that chip was absolutely not there. I immediately took a picture and sent it to the owner. I stated that it was not previously there and asked what they do in situations like this. She stated that it was already there and they “meant to call me”. She also said she will be telling her cleaners of proper procedure for the future, such as writing the damage noticed on the cleaning sheet and calling the owner of the home. That is all fine and dandy…except that chip was not previously there. It’s in a location where there isn’t high traffic and it could have only come from the cleaners. I received no apology for the lack of communication, no offer to try and resolve the issue. INSTEAD, the owner suggested we part ways since there could be no resolution found. Excuse me? The resolution to my unhappiness is to release me as a customer? Not only did she suggest this, but was rude in her responses. Certainly no way to speak to your customers. I have saved every single correspondence with this company for my own records, and I have been nothing but polite and understanding, even with the job we paid for was not rendered. I have also never accused any of her cleaners of stealing or damaging my property.

I have since moved on to a company that has an “A” rating on Angie’s list. I wish I would have searched for a cleaning company on a reputable site in the first place. I would have then seen the reviews where the owner “fired” another customer over her saying one of the cleaners stole jewelry. It seems her resolution to any issue is to fire the customer. Save yourself trouble and disappointment and find another company to clean your home.

The owner was always responsive when I had issues or questions - there were a few times when I had problems due to my house alarm or garage door opener, and every time the staff was understanding and helpful. Even when I had to reschedule, they made it happen. The cleaning service itself was good, and I loved walking in to a fresh, clean house.

I was a customer of Misty clean's in Baltimore city and would love to share my experience.  I was as customer for YEARS until I came home one day and all of my good jewelry was gone.  Clearly picked through, someone took their time going through it and took only what was nice - so someone who spent some time inside of my house.  
I alerted the owner (and the police) immediately but unfortunately, I live in Baltimore City and the process with the police was not at all helpful.  Initially Misty did tell me that she had an employee who had been in my house the week before randomly quit and that she also suspected that person.  After the police took their time (multiple reports later, actually) Misty's story changed and she was not at all accommodating in any way to keep me as a customer or help pay for the missing items.  Basically, unless I had it on video she wasn't going to do anything.
Save your self and your family heirlooms, and find another cleaning company.

We do our part by conducting background checks, drug tests, carry insurance and are bonded as well. The insurance companies will not pay on any claim without an arrest, they consider it insurance fraud because it could happen daily. There has to be proof. It is the homeowner's responsibility to provide names and addresses of each individual in your home aside from our employees, this includes your 2 dog walkers who have access to your home via the key outside your door. We have already let you know that we will provide all information to the detective/police officers. This is not something that happens at Misty Clean but if it did then certainly that person should be brought before a judge and tried before the courts. Please if there is anything else I do hope that you will contact us. We are ready to provide that information upon request. Respectfully, Misty Schulze"

Misty and her staff have been taking care of my home for years--not because I'm too lazy to do it myself, but because I work full-time, have a long commute, and have no one else to turn to for help. "Sam" (her office manager) is a delight--professional, friendly, and always responsive, whether you have a schedule preference or an issue that needs attention, and I am very pleased with the quality of service delivered by Rhonda, who is my regular house-angel. I recommend Misty Clean to anyone who wants more than a quick dust-and-mop, and appreciates coming home to things where they belong, with some added shine and sparkle. (Moving things around doesn't tell me that the house is clean--the house actually *being clean* does, and that's what Rhonda provides.)

Terrible. We used them for about two years. On several occasions they fired the cleaners doing the best job. Recently they fired us because we were impatient with the scheduler who was informing us we were having another new cleaning team This means that we would have to train another team To do a decent job.

I used Misty Clean for bi-weekly cleanings for four years ? from early 2011 through the end of 2014. The first three years were good with the exception of one very bad experience early into the relationship when an inexperienced cleaning team used something abrasive to clean my brand new stainless steel stovetop leaving the top covered with circular scrub marks. Long story short, I called the manufacturer who directed me to a scratch-removing product which, with a lot of elbow grease from both my husband and me, took care of removing the majority of the scratches, at which point Misty reimbursed me for the product and replaced the offending cleaning team with a new person. Melissa cleaned our house for the next two and a half years, either by herself or with a teammate. Melissa was professional, experienced, and just plain delightful. When she left Misty Clean to move out of state, her partner, Jessica, also very nice and very professional, took over as team lead. At that point the service dropped off a little - from a solid A to a passable B - as Jessica was not as experienced as Melissa. After Jessica left the company about six months later, it seemed like we had a different team every two to three cleanings and at the same time, the quality of the cleanings fell off a little more. The last team assigned to me ? two pleasant, but young and inexperienced girls ? performed at an unexciting B-minus level which I mostly let slide as I was busy contending with elderly sick parents out of state. In the end what motivated me to request a new team was not so much the team?s ability to clean but their unbecoming and unprofessional behavior in my home. When my husband came home after one cleaning, he walked into chairs left pulled out from the dining room table as if the girls had sat down to write up their cleaning report and didn?t think to push their chairs in when they got up. What made this especially annoying is that the last thing the girls walked by when they left the main floor of the house was the dining room table. A couple of cleanings later I came home to find that one of the two girls had used the last of the toilet paper in the master bathroom and left the empty roll on the holder ever though there were extra rolls in plain view next to the toilet. Admittedly, I?m a neat freak and I would be dismayed if a family member displayed such sloppy and disrespectful behavior. That being the case, I'm definitely not willing to pay a professional housecleaning service for that kind of aggravation. When I expressed my frustration to Chrissy, Misty's office manager, about both the unprofessional behavior of the current cleaning team as well as the fall off in quality since Jessica's resignation, Chrissy was sympathetic and understanding, characterizing her cleaners? behavior as ?lazy?, and agreed to find me a more mature and experienced team. I hung up the phone thinking about what a wonderful display of customer service. However, when Chrissy called back a few days later with the update that she had found a new team for my next cleaning, imagine my surprise when she also informed me that Misty had decided to increase my rate by 29% effective immediately. As background, this was my third price increase in four years ? just the year before Misty raised her fee by 11%; two years before that, by 12%. I can?t express how disappointed I was to discover that instead of attempting to first correct a current and ongoing service deficiency, Misty instead was more focused on immediately increasing her profit margin. If she had waited even just a couple of cleanings to make sure I was happy with the new team, I probably wouldn?t have been as resistant to the price hike. But instead she prioritized her bottom line over the satisfaction of a customer of four years. That?s when I decided Misty Clean and I were no longer a good fit for each other. My story, however, has a very happy ending: after a quick search on Angie's List, I found a new cleaning service and they are awesome! Unlike Misty who quoted her initial price over the phone based solely on my home's square footage, and who never stepped foot in my house nor sent any type of supervisor for the first three years, the owner of my new cleaning service did a walk-through of my home before she set her price and then personally oversaw the first two cleanings. And the first cleaning ? oh my gosh ? I was horrified at how unclean parts of my house were, even though it had been cleaned every other week for four years by Misty Clean. As of today, my new housecleaners have cleaned my house six times and every cleaning has been wonderful. My husband and I remark after every cleaning how the house practically ?sparkles? in a way it never did before. As  full disclosure, as Chrissy predicted when I balked at Misty?s attempted price increase, I am paying my new cleaning service more than I paid Misty Clean. But that said, I am more than willing to pay the market price for top-notch, professional, quality service. I am not willing to pay a price increase at the exact time I am receiving inferior and unprofessional service.

They started cleaning my house every other week.  We quickly realized that was too frequent and asked them to come once a month. They were very agreeable to changing the schedule and I am very happy with the job that they do.

We hired Misty Clean after seeing them in
a "best of" for the local area. We were quoted $350 for a 3 bedroom/2
1/2 bath house to clean as a move in clean. This was supposed to include
windows inside/out (if easily reached), so we decided to go with them even
though they came in at $150 over other quotes.
The Good:
We had to change the scheduling several times due to closing date changes etc.
Misty Clean was excellent with the short notices and accommodating us for these
changes.
The Bad:
Over priced- two other quotes came in around $200 for the same job (we chose
misty clean because of the ratings and they included windows inside an out-
more on that in a moment)
Completion of Job- Horrible. They completely missed the front stairs. When you
walked in the door you could *see* the dog hair and dirt on the steps, the
mirrors in master were filthy, you could see a "clean line" from
where they mopped the rooms but did not mop the closet (mind you house is
vacant) NONE of the windows were cleaned- inside or out, you could see dust on
window trim, doors were not wiped down and there were still dead bugs in the
one bathroom.
I did contact misty clean immediately after seeing the state of the house and
they did send someone back to fix a few of the items I had noticed. I did not
however notice they completely did not do any of the windows etc. So I ended up
doing that task.
All and all- I feel completely ripped off. For $350 bucks, I basically got
someone to clean the kitchen (it looked great), 2 bathrooms and a half (sorta
if you exclude the dead bugs in the tub- did they clean it or not?), and some
mopping of my hardwood floors/baseboards.
I think perhaps some of the staff is good (we were told one gal did the kitchen
and the other two did the rest- the kitchen was done well), and perhaps they do
better with light cleaning on a schedule or something?
Bottom line? I wouldn?t hire them or recommend them for a move in/out service.

The cleaner was told by a family member not to do the steps going down because the movers were coming and were going to make a mess. The family member walked around the house after the cleaner fixed those areas and told her everything looked great. I really do apologize that the job wasn't perfect from the get go but we will always fix any mistakes. I really wish you would have let us know how unhappy you were.
