Bangert's Piano Service

It took time for the piano technician to call back regarding my request, but he was very professional and thorough.

Our piano had not been tuned for a number of years in spite of having been moved several times during some renovations, so I was fearful it would need extensive tuning. Mr . Bangert assured me this was not the case and and had it sounding great in short order. We were very pleased with his services and scheduled routine tuning with him for next year.

Mr. Bangert exceeded our expectations. Our inherited piano had not been tuned in a very long time, but now it sounds terrific. Even makes our bad playing sound better! Also appreciated Mr. Bangert's speedy response to our initial inquiry and his call on the day of tuning to confirm the arrival time. Overall great service!

I contacted Mr. Bangert through Angie's list, he responded to me within 24 hours.  We set up an appointment and he gave me a window of when he would be here.  He explained the costs for his services and that he gives a discount to regulars who schedule tunings in advance.  He called the day before the appointment to confirm and arrived the day of in his allotted window.  The tuning took about an hour.  He explained what he was doing and why he wanted to do certain things.  He plays beautifully and recommended a local piano teacher to me.  He was very friendly and professional.  Upon payment we scheduled the next tuning a year out and he was off to his next job.  The piano plays beautifully and you can tell he really cares about his workmanship and loves the piano.  I will definitely continue to use him.

He tuned my piano when I first bought it and gave me the options of either tuning it all the way to concert pitch, which would require another visit in about a week because it was so far out of tune that the string stretching would put it back out, or tune it just a little flat ( but in complete tune with itself) which would be a lot cheaper, and then he could tune it to concert when he came back to re-tune in about 6 months. This was the option I went with. He is very friendly and professional and the piano always sounds so much better when he is done.

It went well.  He was very nice and was very willing to work with my husband to surprise me with the services for my birthday.

Rob has been tuning my piano as well as all of our pianos at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church for at least 15 years. Not only does he do a great job, but he is professional and courteous and always willing to work with your scheduling needs. He goes out of his way to please his customers and really cares about the instruments. He is a great problem solver and will keep working on something until he and his customers are satisfied. In addition to the general maintenance of my parish and personal pianos, he helped me purchase a used Grand for my old parish and lead me through the whole process. He also rebuilt the action on my Steinway Grand which I wouldn't have trusted with anyone else. 
 

Rob Bangert has been tuning my husbands piano 2 times every year for over 15 years. My husband has an antique Steinway grand and would trust his baby to not other tuner. Rob, is always punctual, flexible with his scheduling and very pleasant to have working in your home, he is always up beat and professional! Rob has expertise in every aspect of piano care and maintenance and can even string an antique if needed. His prices are very fare and if you schedule in advance he gives you a discount. I can't say enough about Rob, I always look forward to his visit and highly recommend him for all your piano needs.

He arrived on time and got right to work, the piano had not been tuned for a few years so he had a bit more work on the high notes.
He did a great job, he finished up with a nice tune from the Beetles. Very good job and I have him set up to come 3/12/13 to tune my Player Piano.

It is obvious that Mr. Bangert enjoys what he does and he is VERY good at it. He is always prompt, pleasant, and professional. He is also fully qualified to repair, rebuild, and appraise pianos. In addition, he takes an interest in "re-homing" pianos, and has called me several times, at my request, when he has come across a better quality piano that I might be interested in buying (at no financial gain to himself). He is flexible with his scheduling and fairly priced.  I would highly recommend him.
