ALWAYS MOVING

I will not hire these guys again.  They need more experience and should work on their packing skills.

Job was originally supposed to be moving a few large pieces of furniture from our old house to our new house, but at the last minute, we decided to move about 90% of the old house's contents to the new house. The crew from Always Moving did the extra work without any problem, and even scheduled time a few days later to move one particularly difficult piece that wasn't part of our original plan. The price was extremely low for the amount of work they did, particularly when compared to other quotes I received. There were scratches on a couple of pieces of furniture, but we were compensated for the damage. We have one more batch of stuff that will need to be moved in the near future, and I won't hesitate to call these guys again.

The move itself went fine but in the process they broke a pane of glass in an antique secretary. They could not get it fixed so they asked me saying that they would reimburse us for the cost. Once it was fixed (for $135.00) it took 2 months for them to settle our claim and then they paid us only $70.00 toward the claim.

They did not show up on moving day. I reserved the move 4 weeks in advance, and I also called twice to confirm. Chris called that afternoon to say that their "power was out" and that they had been unable to check phone messages, e-mails, or even see their computer. He also said that several other moves on the same day were messed up. He offered to send over a truck and crew and give me a "little bit of a discount", but I had already given up hope (having placed multiple calls and left messages in the morning). We had already rented a van and started moving ourselves.

They were fine, they were very careful, arrived on time. They stuck by their initial quote. I would recommend them, I was very satisfied.

They did such excellent work, and that is what counts. I would use them again, and would recommend them to anyone else who is moving.

The company was on time, even called to offer to come out earlier if we were ready. They had to move three large sofas for us and didn't have any problem. I think they may have underestimated the job a little, since they had to do 2 trips but they still finished on time.

The move went smoothly from start to finish. There were two experienced men with a 34' truck. They arrived fifteen minutes early, were courteous and helpful. Worked professionally and with good humor. They took care not to damage furniture or property. The terms were $80/hour with a 3 hour minimum.

They were nice people to talk to, and up front with all the costs.
