We were so pleased from start to finish. Tom Albrecht was always willing to come out to our home at our request to talk through the plans and work through any questions or concerns we had prior to the start of construction. Him and his staff were incredibly talented and professional in their work. They were on time each morning and worked throughout the day. They were also terrific at clean up at the end of each day which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend them to anyone else looking to do a similar project and would hire them again in an instant.

The whole experience from beginning to end was top notch! Tom was always available for questions and extremely easy to work with. Tom and his team arrived the same time every morning and got right to work. The result is a phenomenal sunroom and deck that we use and enjoy every day. They are an A++ contractor! Highly recommend!

Easy to work with, focused on quality and customer satisfaction.

Tom and his crew did a fantastic job!  Albrecht will be my "go-to" contractor for any and all other projects.  Tom is an excellent communicator and was on hand daily to supervise.  The crew worked quickly and efficiently, always cleaning up at the end of each day.  All of the workers were courteous and professional.  We could not be more pleased with the results, and recommend them without any hesitation.

Fantastic job all the way around. Tom knows what he's doing, and is great at both communicating and managing expectations. He handled all permits and architectural drawing.  He and his guys showed up at 6:45 every morning and were underway promptly at 7.  When they left for the day the construction area was in order and clear of debris. He made recommendations that turned out great, and the final product looks like it's always been a part of the structure, not some bolt-on.  We use the room extensively and are extremely happy we had Tom and his crew do the work.

My wife called and spoke to Tom Monday morning.
He came out Tuesday morning and provided a plan and an estimate, $250 per 6x6. In the end, there were 7 that needed to be replaced.
They came out Wed morning, arrived 15 minutes early and started working immediately. Realized that one of the items in the planned replacement was not needed - reduced the price $150. They were done by 10:15 in the morning and it was hard to tell they had been there.

Tom was great and extremely friendly. His crew was always on time and were very respectful. He was quick to respond to an email or phone call. The work they did was great. They adjusted things on the fly when I changed my mind and did so without complaint. Will definitely use again.

Tom was punctual, respectful and did an awesome job, he ensured the site was cleaned and secure nightly. His attitude toward changes that was made during the process was outstanding, he showed me and my wife that it was all about what we wanted and he was there to provide great and outstanding  that service.

It couldn't have gone better. Mr. Albrecht came and surveyed the job, recorded the scope of work, and in a couple of days he gave us a price. We accepted, and he scheduled the work promptly.
The work required three days. On each day he had exactly the right number of men that were needed to do that day's work: one the first day, two the second day, and three on the final day. The workers were meticulous in their habits and the quality of the work was excellent.
The workers cleaned up after each day's work and at the end they removed all of the scraps, waste, and leftovers from my property and did a thorough job cleaning the work area before they departed.
Mr. Albrecht inspected the work each day--unlike some contractors I have dealt with who disappeared until the last day, when they came to collect their check.
I already have plans to have Albrecht Properties & Home Improvements do another job for me this summer.

The house I bought in Pasadena about 18 months ago was almost perfect for me.  It was built in 1985 and still had the original wood cedar siding which had not been properly maintained, was faded, cupping and coming loose.  It also had original, leaky windows.  Most of all, it didn't have a garage, which was the biggest concession I made in buying it.  I decided these things had to be corrected if I was going to enjoy the home.
I had another builder give me an estimate for the garage.  Just building the garage was quoted to me at $40,000 - $46,000.  When that builder saw that I was waterfront and would require a plethora of additional permits, he balked at the job.  It was clear he didn't want to deal with the permitting.
Tom Albrecht was recommended to me by another contractor I had used.  Tom was described as a meticulous contractor who does great work at a fair price and was relentless about finishing his projects quickly and efficiently.  All that turned out to be true.  I also liked that he was located in Lake Shore in the same community I now live.
When Tom came for the initial consult, he wasn't worried about the permitting at all.  Instead, he offered to handle all that for me.  He took his measurements and promised to get back to me promptly.  He did so, and within a week had the facts to indicate the maximum size garage that he could build within the zoning limits.  It was a little smaller than I had wanted, but he was sure that the proposed size would be approved.  He also proposed solutions to the replacement of the siding and the windows.
His estimate for all the work (garage, siding, trim, windows and driveway apron) came in at just a little more than the original estimate the other contractor had given me just for the garage. 
He drove me around the area to show me some of his prior work, and encouraged me to speak with those homeowners.  I did that and got glowing comments from the homeowners I spoke with.  
The permitting process put things behind schedule (not Tom's fault at all), and we had to wait for warmer Spring weather to pour the concrete.  The garage got built exactly as contracted and I am extremely satisfied with his work.  Several of my neighbors, my family and friends have commented on how well built it is.  The siding looks great, and I love the new windows.  They matched the garage roof to my house perfectly.  I was actually glad to wait out the winter, because it was clear by that he wanted the job done correctly.  It was better to wait instead of rushing the job and risk a bad floor and foundation.
Tom was always on top of things.  He was great to communicate with and was patient with me.  He did, as promised, take care of all the permits.  All I had to do was sign the paperwork.
Tom, his carpenters and subcontractors were all great to deal with.  Small changes I requested during construction were promptly made without a hassle.  I couldn't be more pleased with the entire project.  I highly recommend Albrecht Home Improvements for your next project.

This is the 2nd time we've used Tom and it went beautifully!  His bid was reasonable, they showed up on time, the work excellent as always and clean-up perfect!

Tom provided an estimate and length of time for proposed job. At the contract signing, he gave an approximate start date. They began a week late, but that was because we were out of town. Once the job started, he removed our old deck, put in new footings, began building the sun room and new deck. He estimated three weeks for the job and actually took three weeks and two days - the two extra days were due a foot of snow in the middle of the build - they could not get to my house because the roads were not plowed - so they did take just the three weeks.
The team was professional and friendly. They arrived every day and began work at seven. Tom checked with us every night to discuss issues that arose (as they always do) and let us know what was happening the next day.
At the end of the job, we walked through and we picked out two minor spots we thought needed "fixing" and they corrected them immediately.
There were no "overruns" on the estimate (even though I made some changes throughout).
We highly recommend Albrecht for the quality of their work, their professionalism, their punctuality and most importantly - the ease of working with them.  - And the price was right.
We plan to use Albrecht in the future for other renovations we are thinking about.

They were prompt, friendly and quick and the yard was immaculate when the project was finished.  The work was high quality and Tom was very responsive during the whole process.

.We researched and developed our own cost estimates.  We then got four proposals from a national firm, a regional firm and two local firms.  Tom Albrecht beat all of them on price and the quality of references.  We also felt better dealing directly with the owner rather than a salesman with no control of the project.   The decision to go with Albrecht proved to be a sound one.  We were kept informed at every step of the project and Tom was very responsive to any question we had.  Professional CAD drawings of  planned work were provided for review prior to work beginning.   All work was performed by company employees in an efficient and professional manner.  Once work started, the crew showed up by 7 AM every day until the project was completed. 
We are very please with the completed work and would not hesitate to use Albrecht Home Improvement for future work.

The flooring looks absolutely amazing and the guys (Zack and Jon) were thorough when fixing the many creaks that existed in the subfloor. We now have less noise in our house with hardwoods than we did with carpeting due to those repairs. They took their time making the job look perfect and it shows in the final product. We couldn't be happier. We will definitely use Albrecht Home Improvements on our next major renovation.

The painting and dry wall repair went well.

His motto is "if his customer is not happy, then his job is not done" and he means it.  Plus if something goes wrong, he comes back and takes care of it.  He's done so much for me.  His work is top notch.

Showed up on time, every day.  Implemented pre-defined construction plans with minimal intervention.  Confirmed siding, trim, paint colors and accomplished excellent quality work.  Adjusted to requests to re-position windows on one wall, staining a wooden
ceiling (not in original contract).  Basic work completed in about 10 days, with follow-up installation of a special-order windows in one day afterward.  Thoroughly cleaned work area and hauled away debris from work activities.   I will use this Contractor again if I have work to accomplish.

They did a great a job. They were the first company to answer promptly of all the deck builders we called. They were very friendly and listened to everything we wanted done. They team worked continuously with out taking many breaks. The deck is beautiful. We are very happy.
