Terrible owner. He is a business man who has never done lawn or landscape work and is using this for an income. Does not take a personal interest or show his face to his customers.
Response from GREEN THUMB'S LAWN AND LANDSCAPING
"I'm the owner of the company she was calling my office manager who runs the office to take calls and handle daily operations. I always meet customers to see how things are and call them If they need any other work done. It shows you why would a customer stay with you for 3 years we were doing a great job. we always keep the same supervisor for each crew the problem was that the customer would not pay us on time and we always had to wait for two months to get paid and sometimes even longer but we were trying to help her. We had to stop service after 3 months of no payment and that's why she wrote a bad review to make us look bad. We still mow her neighbor that loves our work and pays on time. She went through 4 other companies before she found us we just try to work with people that have a certain budget but like any business you can't wait that long for your money. I would like for her review to be taking off as you can see she had us for 3 years then when we had to part ways she writes this"

The guys came out on time and did an adequate job of cleaning and laying mulch. The problem was that they convinced us to add some top fill adjacent to a corner of our house to build it up and prevent us from getting any water damage in our basement. We did that and then promptly 2 weeks later, when we had a strong rain storm, When I went into my basement, I found out they had caused the problem, rather than prevented it. This is a problem we had never had in our house before. They had built up the mulch so that it served like a dam keeping at least 3" of water next to our house. When I saw this later in the day, I used a shovel to open a path for the water to drain away, but the damage was done.
The worst part was when I finally got them to come out and discuss the problem two weeks later, they wouldn't take any responsibility for the problem they caused. First they blamed it on the heavy rain. Then they were certain it was the fault of water coming down a hill behind our house and over topping the mulch with a torrent of rain. Then, when I explained how that couldn't be the problem, they blamed it on the gutter above the area. While it is true that the gutter was likely spilling over the top, had they properly graded the mulch and allowed for a drainage path, there wouldn't have been a problem. At the end of our discussion they claimed no responsibility for the problem and felt no obligation to correct the situation.
They might be a reasonable company up front, but they are not going to take any ownership of problems that they cause to your property.

They are excellent. Their pricing is good. I am in an area that is some little bit harder to get lawn services to come through and if they come they do a good quality job in mowing the lawn, edging the side walks. They are difficult to get hold off. I would use them again.

They are very reasonably priced and do a decent job. They communicate with me via the internet.
