Home Inspection
I got a pdf file from our realtor, paid for by a previous prospective buyer, about a home we are considering purchasing. We had paid for a home inspection but this one that we received for free was much more telling (I will have to return to my own report to adjust my critique on our paid-for inspection posted to Angie's List).
I can't reply about the name on the pdf of the inspector - John Simansky - who did all the dirty work - but he certainly got down and dirty. The report I got was concise, detailed, thorough, precise, and something I wished I had gotten when I paid for a home inspection. Forty-two pages were done, all of them searchable. John Simansky even went into the crawlspace below the added section of the home, taking some very telling images to back up the concerns he discovered (which now concern us). The name of the company in the pdf is Boswell Building Surveys but the name at the top is BPG (Buyers Protection Group), which is, perhaps, the parent company. Their site claims that if you're not satisfied (if they don't meet expectations) they will refund the money you paid. All I know, is that this report is very sound and credible. I'm certain that the people who paid for this report didn't request a refund.
I am not at all affiliated with BPG, Boswell Building Services, or Mr Simansky.

Home Inspection
Dean Uhler was the inspector we requested. Dean did a very thorough job of inspecting our new home, spending over four hours on site. He produced a detailed and helpful report and delivered it on time. Most of all, we appreciated that he spent extra time with us on the day of the inspection, advising us on which of the issues we should be most concerned about.

Home Inspection
He was very thorough and very conscientious and really did a great job. He gave a very comprehensive written report that was printed and detailed including pictures and gave us some feed back the same day as well as to how correct some problems.

Home Inspection
John did a very thorough and professional inspection, and cordially answered my questions. He gave special attention to the areas that concerned me, and found other items that were new to me.

Home Inspection
Andy was recommended to me by a friend and lived up to the recommendation. He arrived early & began working on the exterior part of the inspection until I got home from work. When I arrived he explained everything he had looked at so far & continued the inspection. Since I was a first-time buyer, I had my parents attend the inspection also & Andy was very patient with answering all of their questions. He obviously has a vast knowledge of everything to do with houses and gave me a very thorough report at the end of the inspection.
