They neglected watering the lawn and trees during one particularly hot period while we were away and they downplayed it rather than saying that they failed to water our place.
We constantly had problems with their accounting department including double billing; charging for labor on the days when no workers were there; other questionable charges for the material; charging retroactively; inconsistant billing system.
The owner of this company had a problem with the construction company working at our property so he never communicated with the construction crew. This resulted unnecessary additional repair work, costing us more money. While discussing this issue the owner of Oxford Lawn & Landscape shouted at me angrily over the phone.
Eventually we terminated their service.
"We did not water the lawn during a certion period because we were told by Kyung Turrell to stop work for the month. I have the email. When they returned the customer was mad because the lawn had browned out and trees wilted. I offered to show him the email I recieved from his wife and he told me to leave. As for the irrigation the company is fine. The project changed so many times it became very confusing. The irrigation had to be redone, lines and heads moved, temp. lines installed etc. throughout the entire project. In the end the Turrell's fired American Irrigation because they felt they were not holding up their end even thoug they were there constantly doing just as requested. As for the billing. They wanted each project, 22 in total over almost 3 years billed completly seperatly. If a crew worked half a day on one project and then was directed to another portion the bills became very confucing. Adding to the confusion the bills would go two or three months (due to their travel, NOT that they did not pay when requested) so they would recieve a huge stack of paper. Once they reviewed the bills they always paid, that was never a problem. Their claim on double billing is due to the fact that we would have 3 people there on Monday and then 6 or 7 there on Tuesday when we had trees or sod arrive. They were very used to one crew but sometimes not aware when we added more workers to that crew. There were times they thought they were billed for work on days that we were not on the property. CORRECT! We charged them time for picking up trees, sod and brick. Shop time for constructing fence parts etc.. These activities cost us money and we bill out our time. We were let go (terminated) because of the lack of communication between the owners. They both travel constantly and more often than not they did not know what the other was telling the contractors do. Lastly I would like to say we went above and beyond for the Turrell family. We moved furniture and boats. Met FedEx and UPS trucks to sign and unload freight. For 2 years during construction we stored the contents of their shop in our wharehouse for free."
