He did some roof work on our last house, so I know that he never takes short cuts nor recommends unnecessary work. Ian is hardworking, thoughtful and thorough. His work is meticulous. He also made recommendations for related work that I hope he will do this fall. We're also hiring Ian to build out a new room from the attic space and install a window, to create a new bedroom out of a long, open space. Ian is licensed.
Description of Work: We bought our house, built in 1950, last fall. The upstairs living space was a converted attic that was unbearably hot and improperly ventilated. Ian installed soffit vents in front of house; removed existing blown-in insulation blocking soffit air flow; removed existing rafter insulation and installed baffles from soffits to knee walls; replaced rafter insulation over baffles with new insulation; installed metal ridge vent on main roof; installed power attic vent; installed switch for power attic vent; adjusted gable vent thermostat; installed heat-blocking film over skylights; installed access panel for power attic vent in ceiling; repaired and sealed nail pops in existing shingles on main roof; and resealed valley flashing on main roof/addition intersection.
