“I LOVE HAULING” was founded in 2011 by Maurice Ifill, Registered Nurse (Army Nurse Veteran) and Social Worker. Maurice has always worked in helping professions and derives satisfaction from assisting others. The true motivation behind starting “I LOVE HAULING” was Maurice's intimate interactions with families and residents through his role as Director of Nursing at a local Long Term Care Facility in Baltimore. He observed how families struggled to clean out estates, homes, apartments and storage units of loved ones that recently passed away. He saw how difficult it was for families to look through and discard items that they were emotionally attached to, usually in a time sensitive manner. Landlords, banks and storage companies wanted items to be removed immediately so they could prepare it for further usage. It took some families days to weeks to clean out items left behind, in addition to going through the grieving process and preparing funeral services. Maurice also observed the difficulties that arose from trying to haul items to dumps and donation centers. He decided to assist one family with his pickup truck and saw how satisfied and relieved they were when he filtered through their items, loaded the items onto his truck, cleaned the area, removed the junk and donated the re-usable items. They told a friend about the great work he did and phone calls starting coming in for assistance. The word of mouth referrals have never stopped.
Maurice's company began to grow and he expanded his services to residential and commercial junk hauling.
I Love Hauling removes everything from clothes to couches, sorts through and donates anything that is re-usable to local charities, churches and nursing homes. I Love Hauling also recycles items such as appliances to televisions to keep them out of landfills and preserve the environment. I Love Hauling is Maurice's new avenue for helping others who can not do it themselves
