Before construction started I called the county and found that they submitted the application and didn't follow up with it. I found that it had been sitting on someone's desk for 6 months and I was able to get the permit granted. It then took a year to break ground and another two an a half years to finish my home. The foundation was 9 inches lower than it was supposed to be but the county approved it. I am still having trouble with water coming into my garage because of the foundation. We have four sump pumps in the crawl space and we still have trouble with water around our home. It was hard to put the driveway in because the house is lower than the ground.
