We are very pleased with the result. Todd is great to work with, and Freddie and the crew did a wonderful job. They were very careful, and very thorough. We gave all the workers a big tip at the end of the job - they deserved it. Would definitely recommend this company and this crew!

It was ok, it took them three tries to figure out while the roof continued to leak after a complete roof replacement. Then they discovered that the problem was that plastic tracking between the side of the house and the roof. So an additional 400 was need to install tyveck to the side of the house

Be sure to check the work these guys do to ensure it's completed in accordance with your contract with them.  I contracted with this company to install siding at significant cost, with the bulk of that cost covering installation of furring strips. Previously, I was unfamiliar with the siding process, and if you're in the same boat, furring strips are basically wood strips nailed to your house, to which the siding is then attached. 
It was supposed to be a three or four day job, and Excel Remodeling coordinated with my roofer prior to beginning work, at my request, since the siding had to be completed prior to roofing work.  The roofer also needed to cut metal work for the flashing around my deck, and in order to do so, needed to understand what the measurements would be of the installed siding.   
Excel came to my house in February 2013 to install the siding.  It appeared at first that the work was completed quickly and in accordance with the contract in under three days. At first, I was pleasantly surprised. Upon completion, I had my roofer examine their work, however, and it was discovered that instead of installing furring strips in accordance with the contract, they nailed the siding right into the side of my house. In other words, they had charged me for work that was not actually completed at all. I guess they hoped I wouldn't find out. 
In skipping the furring strip step, for which I had paid, Excel Remodeling materially and unilaterally changed the terms of our contact without clearing it with me, the homeowner, prior to doing so.  In so doing, they attempted to save approximately two days of labor to maximize profit, honesty and quality be damned.
This company's actions were dishonest and they got caught.  In the aftermath, Excel Remodeling's owner admitted the actions were, "a poor business decision."  He advised me that they were not trying to pull one over on me, but rather that his foreman had made this business decision and informed him at the end of the second day, on what was supposed to be a four-day job. I find such a claim to be a dubious one, but regardless, the owner never informed me, the homeowner, of this change at any point in the process, much less prior to the change being made, as was required.  Draw your own conclusions given the aforementioned facts.
To be fair, once I caught the shady deeds. Excel Remodeling did return to my home, removed every piece of siding, installed the furring strips they were contractually obligated to install in the first place, and reinstalled the siding.  They did this without trouble, quickly, and the owner was quite apologetic. Of course, it's not like I left them any choice in the matter. 
All-in-all, Excel Remodeling caused themselves needless rework, and worse, through their misdeeds, delayed necessary roofing work on my home and left a sour taste in my mouth about contractors generally.  "Caveat emptor," as the saying goes, and if you use these guys, watch them like hawks.

          The crew arrived on time  They removed old shingles and other related materials.  They straightened the gutters before replacing the shingles and related products.  They put the chimney cap that had blown off back on for us. They also replaced a piece of siding for us.

We had the shingles replaced  with 3D Architechtural singles. They look very nice.

We had a wonderful experience dealing with Excel Remodeling.  From the first phone call to them to the last.  The first

 person we dealt with was Rick,  after that all the workmen were pleasant and very hard working. Rick called after the job was completed.

This is a first class company to deal with.

Rick was low key and honest about everything.  He actually got on the roof and into the attic to check out everything.

Others we dealt with did none of that.  They just bad mouthed everybody else.

The crew did things beyond the call of duty with a smile

I really can't say enough about Rick and the rest of the people there.. They made an unpleasant task into a worry free experience.

They did a fantastic job. Rick was always available and very knowledgeable and courteous. Jose and crew did a wonderful job. They all worked hard and very well together as a team. They arrived on time, and set up promptly,covering all areas around the house. They completed the job in one day as quoted, and were very careful  cleaning up all around the house. We are very satisfied with their work and are negotiating with Rick for another job. We would strongly recommend them to anyone.

We have had a great experience with them. They were extremely busy which he let us know about in the beginning so scheduling took a bit longer. They had a crew of at least three people who completed the work in one day.

The crew was very professional, hardworking, and detailed. They cleaned up afterwards as well. Rick was very responsive to every one of my calls. The roof and skylights are beautiful. I met a woman who needed to have her roof done and I referred her to Excel and I would definitely use them again and again!

First off, let me say that the quality of the work is great. Everything looks awesome--we are extremely pleased with our new windows and siding. We notice a huge difference in the insulation our new windows provide, both in heat, and in sound (our yard backs up to a fairly busy road). Also, their quote was among the lowest we considered. That said, we are more ambivalent about the entire experience taken as a whole. Work did not start on our house until at least two months after the date we had agreed upon, and we were given little explanation as to the reason for the delay. Once it did start, it took much longer than expected--whereas we were told the work would be completed within 4 or 5 days, the entire project ended up taking nearly a month to complete. To be fair, the weather did play a role in some of the delays--we had an unusually high amount of snow days this winter--but not enough to account for these kinds of delays. In any case, the work is now done--has been done for a couple months--but we are still waiting on a replacement screen for one that was broken when they put it in. This is not really a huge deal--the screens they put in have locks, but the locking mechanism is broken on one of them. We've never felt the need to lock our screens, so it doesn't affect us too much. But it's the principle of the thing: if you say you're going to replace the screen, you should do it, and do it within a reasonable timeframe. Anyway, I give Excel a B because, as I said, they really do terrific work and their prices are very good. But I feel I should be able to get similar quality without all the hassle.

The crew arrived when I was told there be there they were neat with the job they did covered all areas around my house with protective covers for nails and such put all the old roof in a truck bin cleaned up everything and it looked like there were never there except for the great looking roof there put on. My house sits on the corner of a busy street and people are stopping to tell me how nice my new roof looks. Rick with excel was great to work with very helpful and very professional and was on top of everything from beginning to end. I will suggest my family use this company for there roofing needs and any other services they provide, was a pleasure doing business with Rick and Excel.

I initially obtained estimates from 4-5 roofing companies and finally settled on Excel Remodeling.  Judging by my positive experience, it was the right choice.  One company's estimate was $1500.00 more than Excel's (did not include new skylights) and it did not even come close to matching Excel's labor and tile warranties.  
Dealing with Rick (Chmar) was a very positive and excellent experience; he was meticulous and detailed in his explanations of both the material options available and how the job would be performed.  Rick's crew showed up on time and did a splendid job in both the installation and the subsequent clean-up.  In addition, they replaced a piece of siding at no cost--another company offered to do it for an additional $150.00!  Best of all was the fact that Excel only asks for $50.00 of the initial cost up front and then one pays the balance upon completion--this to me was a very good indication of the company's trustworthiness.  
In sum, my wife and I are most pleased with the service, quality and value we received from Excel Remodeling.  Mr. Rick Chmar and his team are true professionals.  I most highly recommend Excel Remodeling without any reservations whatsoever and would hire them again.  Thanks Rick and thanks Excel!

Our experience with Excel Remodeling Corp went very wonderful. The quality of the work was excellent. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They've also done our roof, siding and windows. We had some issues with the siding they put in, but they came right out and took care of the problem.

Overall the the project went very well and we are very pleased with the result.  The most unique aspect of this job was that Excel only requested a $50 deposit when I signed the contract, and I was not asked for the final payment until the job was completed to my satisfaction.
Todd was very flexible in scheduling the job as my wife was very particular about the color of the siding.  Todd provided several addresses for us to visit with different siding colors which aided us in making our selection.  Todd also provided roof samples and a shutter samples for us as well.
The roof was replaced first followed by the siding, shutters, and gutters.  After a date was scheduled, the roof work started promptly on the morning scheduled and the workers remained on site until the roof was completed.  They also did a good job in covering the areas below the roof to minimize the amount of debris which hit the ground.  This made the clean-up easier.
The siding job was scheduled approximately 2 weeks after the roof was completed.  This part of the project took about 3 days to complete.  On two occasions, I pointed out some thing I was not happy with and both times it was promptly corrected to my satisfaction. 
It has been roughly 3 months since the work was completed and we have experienced some heavy rains and high winds.  I am happy to report that the siding and shingles have remained in place and there have been no leaks.

We decided it was time to replace the windows that were leaking in the upstairs bonus room in our home.  Excel Remodeling did a great job on our last project and we called them again to replace the windows.  The windows were custom made and were ready within 2 weeks of placing our order.  The installer was prompt and finished installing the windows in one day.  Excel Remodeling was once again courteous and professional and the windows are gorgeous and well made.  Great job!

We had an old drafty sliding door in the middle of our living room and the Excel remodeling team removed the doors and installed a beautiful picture window with casement windows on either side.  They were able to match the design of all other windows in the house which satisfied our Home Owners association.  Our home is 10+ years old and siding was also located to match the color and style.  The installation of a window provides a lot more space in the room and we are very happy with Excel?s professionalism and attention to detail.

It went well.  They came on time and the workers did excellent work. I hope it provides the comfort that I was told it would.  The house had been under insulated originally.
