Description of Work: They Sub contracted out to other contractors... for Everything, they dont tell you that! |Berry the sales person talks fast appears very professional... only requires small down payment $500.00 which is a hook... He will promise you anything, just Get it in Writing ,which we did, Thank God!But we went back and forth with Berry by phone through their personal screening phone servive and email to get the job done. The job was piece meal out from the delivery of the materials by a 2 ton Truck which parked in my driveway without notice to me. They loaded roofing material on the roof and was going to leave material out front on my lawn, which could be taken. I happen to come back home early this day and saw this Big Rigg with a Crane.. in the Driveway of my Home... Maybe this is how the industry is,I don't know ! however, Notice of Delivery would have been Appreciated! and Maybe parking on the Street would have been a conscientious. I was concerned about my driveway taking that type of Truck and Load. Get it in writing and follow up in writing...The Full Job was Not Communicated to the roofers that were contracted to actually do the job. The contracted roofer were very diligent and it looks like they did a great job. However the job we discussed with Berry was not communicated to them. They were not aware about the inside repairs on a beam to the roof but their manager completed the job anyway because they were reputable. They were a smaller minority roofing company sub-contracted by Badger's. I give that company a "A". I can't recall their names right now , otherwise I'd give it. But Badger- Berry the salesman gets a "D" for his mishandling of the communications to me the customer and his own sub-contractors. Also it was good that I was a member of Angie's that was what I believe helped with our resolutions to work with Berry.. Although I never reported this problem to Angie's, when I told him about the Service Statement Badger Co. had with Angie's members he changed his demeanor. Also when our roofing job was done our Representative Barry was on Spring Break. |Everyone should have time with their family away ... but Take Care of your Business or Job before you Leave! I felt what an intrusion to have to speak to you by Email while your'e on vacation because you left things unfinished. |Bottom Line would I deal with Badger Roofers with Salesmen like Barry ? No! |Watch out when it seems too good to be true... |We did have other bids, I actually was going to go with another company owned by a local smaller roofer but his down payment and contract Scared Me... I didn't want to take a chance on this job with them financially. So when Badger Contractors came,He was prompt , very personable,professional,knowledgable,had booklet with roofing info, talked quick and with a contract I could read and understand and a low payment ...I chose them thinking Bigger may be better more secure as a company. But that's not true..Honesty and Service Matters. |Good Service is hard to find,until then Keep Everything in Writing and I Thank God I made the investment to join Angie's List...We all need backup sometimes.

Description of Work: I asked them to repair a leaky roof. They showed up and according to my wife they spent about 15 minutes on the job and left without explaining what they did. A few days later they contact me to tell me I need a new roof and they offer a proposal to do the job. Very disappointed in this offer and it caused loss of confidence in Angie's List. Badger certainly did not provide anywhere near $500 worth of service to me.

Description of Work: They tried to find a leak on my roof. Unfortunately it still leaks. I'm reasonably sure they gave it their best effort but sometimes it is a trial and error process.

Description of Work: This was a full roof shingle tear off and replacement. Rotten wood was replaced, new ridge vents and all new drip edge. All flashing removed and replaced. Plus replacement of the skylight.

Description of Work: Tore off one layer of existing shingles, replaced 8 sheets of sheathing, installed 6' of ice/water shield at all gutter lines and 3' in valleys, installed new drip edge, underlayment, and architectural shingles, extended ridge vents, installed peel & stick roofing on low-slope roof over sunroom, replaced flashing, replaced one skylight.
