David Abraham at True Line Interiors rocks! We have hired David during every stage of our renovations in Sarasota, Florida, both interior and exterior. We first hired David to paint two guest rooms and bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is Mexican style, and we told him we wanted the walls to look like they are in “old Mexico.” He did a heavy texture first, then painted the walls, resulting in exactly what we expected: a perfect, rustic scene. Next, we built a 3-car garage with an upstairs apartment, and David painted the interior walls, ceilings, and trim. He also did a faux finish on the outside stucco; first he painted the entire building, then dabbed a darker color over the base. It looks fantastic! At that time, my wife and I were still living in New Jersey, and we were leaving to drive north, first telling David that we wanted the door to our elevator to be a mini-mural, appearing to be an old freight elevator. He knocked it out of the park. Some visitors actually think they are looking into an elevator, not at a flat door. Our second renovation was half of the main house; again we hired David to paint the interior, and he also matched the faux painting on the exterior from the garage apartment. Part of that renovation is an aviary for our parrots. Again, we had to return to New Jersey, and we gave David free reign to make that room look like it’s in the jungle. There are palm trees, branches, and tropical flowers on the walls and ceiling. The storage cabinet is “hidden” by being painted to look like a large boulder. The concrete floor has a painted path through the “dirt.” There are even a couple of surprises: little bright-eyed painted creatures peeking out from the corners! Now we are doing the third renovation, which is the other half of the main house. David again returned to paint the interior, and also once again matched the faux painting so that the entire house looks like it was all done at one time! Now we have our Mexican hacienda, right here in south Florida. We really miss David since he moved to Maryland, and are always happy to see him when he’s visiting in Florida. Obviously, we highly recommend David at True Line Interiors! He is a true professional, dedicated to his calling. He is not merely a painter; he is an artist!
