Mike came out and repaired our electrical panel for us. He was professional, on time and honest about the work that needed to be done. I asked him if he had some time to fix a few of our outlets while he was there and did those while he was at it all for a fair price. If I have any additional electrical problems that need to be fixed I will definitely call Mike back.

The washing machine stopped running one day, mid-cycle. The socket it was plugged into had lost power. I scheduled an appointment with Deshaies to come fix the problem. The electrician showed up on time for my 26 Nov 2018 appointment. The dead socket was on a circuit that included several outlets in the house and garage. Since it's a detached garage, the circuit runs under the sidewalk, the yard, and the driveway. Anyway, most of the sockets on the circuit had stopped working, but a few of them in the house still had power. The electrician spent a lot of time testing outlets and exposed wiring in the laundry room and garage. He eventually tracked the problem to one of the three auxiliary boxes connected to the circuit breaker box. The auxiliary box contained a bunch of wires and some buss fuses in it. He removed the buss fuses from the setup. That fixed the problem, restoring power to the previously dead sockets.

My new home came with no overhead lighting, so we embarked on a project to brighten the place up with recessed lighting and ceiling fans. We needed a subpanel, and a significant number of new circuits added. Mike and his team were detail oriented, and stuck with each part of the project until it was done right. They were always on time, and took great care to protect flooring and furniture, and to not leave a mess. We will definitely invite these guys back next year for more lighting and a generator. — If you’re feeling around in the dark for an electrician to trust, Mike will help you think the problem through, and get it solved.

The guy who came out to do the estimate was punctual and very professional. I ended up going with another company that a friend referred me to.

I was selling a house that had been a rental. The buyers home inspector found some issues and the buyers requested some additional upgrades. I logged on to Angie's List and found a deal that Deshaies was offering for electric panel replacement and I contacted them. I also contacted 5 other contractors at the same time. Mike Deshaies got back to me right away and i asked them to perform the work. Out of the other 5 contractors only 1 got back to me in a reasonable time, and their prices were outrageous. Some of the contractors got back to me after Deshaies had already started the work. Timely response is very important with a settlement deadline approaching. I was immediately impressed with Mike's professional attitude over the phone. Mike was courteous and listened intently while i described my situation and what needed to be done. He communicated to me during the process and was always available to answer questions. The company was very flexible when I needed to add in some additional work. Mike even went back to the house to clear up some confusion about how GFCI's work and to replace a lamp that I forgot to tell them about. The quality of the work was excellent. I was not able to meet with the electricians when they performed the work, but after the work was completed i went to the house. The only signs that anyone had been there was the new outlets and panel and the reattached service drop. No mess at all! The job and work went just as planned without any drama. Did have one issue with one wrong cover plate for the transfer switch which Mike resolved without any issue or delay. I plan on using them again for a bathroom project .

Everything went as expected. Mike was on time, courteous, professional, and did a quality job for a fair price. We expect to use Deshaies in the future for all our electrical needs. All the positive reviews were well earned.

I bought the 8 hour deal from Deshaies that was much cheaper than a previous estimate by another electrician for a "6 hour job". Jason came & did the job in just over four hours! And this included two extra ceiling lights to be replaced that were not included on the "6 hour job" as quoted by that other electrician. I was grateful these guys were able to work with me after I mistakenly made the appointment for my new house instead of the old house where I needed the work done in order to sell. Jason then drove 45 minutes to the old house and completed the work fast. After the job was done and Jason had left, we noticed a couple lights were out. Jason stayed to troubleshoot, and the owner came out, and both worked diligently to find the issue which was with some old, faulty wiring that had shaken loose but was not related to the work Jason had done.

Wonderful! We explained the problem and after 20 minutes of looking at it, he knew what was wrong and had it fixed in less than an hour. Professional, knowledgeable, great customer service, and efficient. We will call them for all future electrical jobs.

I initially called Deshaies after one of the big deals I had seen on Angie's list. However after explaining the work I needed, they said it would be more hours than what was included in the deal. The real nice lady on the phone answered all my questions, gave me a verbal estimate and got me scheduled for the next week. Their reviews were good and their price was in line with the other estimates. They showed up on time, were extremely professional, and did an excellent job. I couldn't be more pleased and would hire them again in a heartbeat! Thank you for a job well done!

They arrived ahead of time, calling in advance as requested for my dog (a overly-excited one and 57 lbs) and set right to work.  The electrical connection had to be accessed through my newly-insulated attic.  The two-man team split up; one-dismantling the current unit and the other, digging for the outlets in the attic.  Once it was determined the current fan was shot, they began installing the new one.  The work went quickly from there, attaching to the three wall switches; testing them for accuracy.
The two electricians -- Jason and T.J. -- were a brawn and agility team.  Jason, the larger of the two, worked out of the bathroom where pulling out the heavy, cumbersome old fan and installing the new one looked to be a piece of cake.  T.J. had the small antic job where agility and stamina against heat and close quarters, moved the job along nicely.  Both were cordial, likable and receptive to my jokes :)
In spite of all this activity, they still managed to complete the job within the two hour allotted time, but here's the biggest caveat.  Remember the insulation falling from the bathroom ceiling; the pulling out of the old unit and the installation of the old -- all done in a small room and over a bathtub?  On completion, the room was clean enough to make you forget some big brawny guys had been wrestling in there for two hours.  Perfect !!
They will be on my get-list for future electrical jobs.  Who could ask for more?
