Absolutely superb from start to finish! We selected them from four excellent choices on Angie's List, all of whom submitted detailed and competitive bids. The reviews of previous customers were uniformly excellent, and turned out to be very well deserved. Their bid was detailed and comprehensive, and very competitively priced. Their certified arborists were clearly expert in their field, sometimes answering questions we didn't know to ask, which helped us to be more knowledgeable clients, and make smart choices about the final look of the trees. They arrived on time, exactly as scheduled, got right to it, and worked tirelessly throughout the day. We were consulted throughout the job on our expectations, apprised of concerns and options, and given expert professional advice to guide our choices. This company went above and beyond to insure we were delighted with the final outcome, and they also cleaned up completely; the only evidence that they'd been here was the great look of our trees. I've used this company twice and have been pleased both times. Chris (the owner) came out and gave us an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. He and his crew came out a few days later to do the work, and the results were very good. I recommend using this company. John M.

Chris and his crew were great. Besides doing an excellent job at a good price and in a short amount of time, we also recognized that AA cared about the trees themselves and would address our needs while ensuring the trees were left healthy. Overall, we were very pleased and plan on asking AA out again in the spring to review and make recommendations to promote the health of all of our common areas.

We called Advanced Arboriculture with the intention of having them trim several trees that were brushing the roof of the house.  Eric came out to give us an estimate and explained exactly what he thought we should do and why.  The company was prompt in responding to our inquiries about insurance certificates etc.
Weather conditions caused some scheduling delay, but we came home one day in January to find all the work finished exactly as we expected.
We will definitely use Advanced Arboriculture again.

The individuals know their business and do their business in a professional, intelligent, manner.  I would highly recommend them in the future.  They clean up, need no supervision, and go about their work diligently.
I would have liked to have them called me, as I was surprised when they showed up and began their work.  They had to return a second time through no fault of their own.  Miss Utility failed to mark the property properly.  The second time they came, they called beforehand.  Their prices are fair and reasonable.
This group did an excellent job.  Their craftsmanship showed through.  My wife and I wanted one additional branch removed (large), when they returned to complete their job it was taken care of.
In their initial assessment, they told me what work they would recommend and what work would be a waste of time. 

Christopher and his team did an absolutely wonderful job taking down an 80 foot tree in a not so great spot in our backyard. When he came to meet us, we felt right away that he really cares about his customers, his team and the trees. We can't speak highly enough of this team and highly recommend them!

We highly recommend Advanced Arboriculture. Chris Coates (the owner) and two helpers efficiently took down two small trees, one with extensive storm damage and one diseased and decaying. They were careful and attentive to their work, and very professional. We were impressed when they laid 2 cut sections across from each other and Chris dropped another neatly across them, saving the ground from a big dent. They put down sheets of plywood to protect the grass before running a bobcat with ?claws? to pick up large sections of trunk. After clean-up, there was no evidence they'd been there except the low stumps that remained.
Chris is very conscientious, said he requires everyone to wear a hard hat, screens job applicants for alcohol and drug use before hiring.  He takes his work very seriously but is a pleasant and personable young man. We screened several tree companies looking for certified arborists and membership in professional organizations. Advanced Arboriculture met all our requirements.

It was a great experience from start to finish.  Chris Coates, the company owner, came out in the pouring rain to my property to survey the trees.  He is extremely professional, personable and knowledgeable.  Chris gave me the most reasonable quote by far; I had already received estimates from three other vendors.  Also, his advice to remove the second tree was right on target.  I'm looking forward to an ant-free (or low-ant) summer!  And just as Chris promised, he and his crew performed the job a few weeks later.  I was away at work, so I wasn't around to greet them.  But when I arrived home that day, I got the best surprise!  Their work is excellent- the problem trees and stumps are gone, the other trees are trimmed back, and the whole area is immaculate.  Wow, you can barely tell there were ever trees in those spots!  I'm no longer ashamed of my backyard and it is now a point of pride for me.  Thank you, Chris and Advanced Arboriculture!  I will recommend you to my neighbors, friends and associates!

Christopher Coates and his company are highly recommended by us!  From the estimate to getting the actual work done he and his staff were courteous and professional.  Five people including Chris were on the crew.  They had the right equipment for the job.  Chris closely supervised the others and did much of the work himself.  They all wore uniforms and helmets.  They took extra measures to make sure our lawn and belongings were not harmed.  They took care of obtaining the critical area permit that was required for trimming one tree.  As a favor to our elderly neighbor they even removed a dead branch on a different tree for her at no charge.  Price was good and we used a Val-Pak coupon which made it even better.

We could not be happier with the way this turned out and will be recommending this company to anyone who needs a tree service.  Thanks Chris!

Chris met with me to discuss what I wanted done and offered his opinion on what was best for the type of tree.  He and his crew did a great job.  The maple in my font yard has been thinned but is very nicely shaped.  They cleared everything away so one could not tell the had been there.  I am very pleased.

The owner and his team were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.  Owner himself provided the free estimate and did all of the climbing and cutting. Answered all questions and was available via phone/email prior to the cutting.  Weather (snow) delayed the cutting, but they quickly rescheduled once the storm passed. Team cleaned up well and left the area spotless. Will recommend to friends, family and colleagues. Will definitely use again.

It went very well.  The price was excellent and work was almost perfect.  There were a couple of major roots that may not have really been part of the stump, but with a simple phone call they came out and finished the job.  Chris is very, very professional and approaches his work like a craft, not just a living.  I may have them do more work here or at our church.

Chris (owner) himself came to do the site visit and give a quote.  He also is the one who climbed the tree a few weeks later to prune dead branches.  I appreciated that it would be him up in the tree,, when estimating the services.  He also recommended some soil aeration and fertilizer for the mature Maple near out children's playset to continue to maintain its health.  When they crew returned, I asked that they also do some soil aeration for another Maple on the lot next to us, that is our adjacent to our detached garage. 
All work was performed professionally.  My only quibble was that both times they were late for their appointment (and I had to call a few times to find out when the work would be performed).  Chris did however, call several times on the days of the appointments to provide updates as to their later ETA.

Advanced Arboriculture showed up with a team of five professionals that proceeded to complete all the work that was agreed to and more.  A large tree in close proximity to the house was removed without incident the tree remains were cleared from the property, more so than I expected.  Two other large trees had major branches trimmed, once again it was done safely and with minimal disturbance to the surrounding area.  All worked was completed as promised and at what I thought was a fair price.  

They did an awesome job.  Chris Coates, the owner, came to give us the estimate and to do much of the work.  It was obvious that he was passionate about tree care, and about providing great customer service at a fair price.  I recently tried to contact him to take down another tree, but was terribly disappointed that his phone number no longer appears to be in service.

Chris and his group are a pleasure to work with.  This was the second time we have used them, the first was to take down 3 dead tulip poplar trees.  The two recent trees were an 80-90 year old oak tree on top of a hill about 20 feet from the back of our house, which is built into the hill, and a tulip poplar on the same hill, about 30 feet from the house.  The proximity of these trees made it impossible for Chris to just drop the trees, so he created a zip line pulley system from a tree in the back of the house to one on the front side.  He was then able to scale the trees, cut them in to pieces and zip them down to their trucks/woodchipper.  All of the work was performed over the course of two days, and we could not be happier.  He was not the cheapest quote, but definitely not even close to the most expensive who wanted 5,000 per tree!  We will continue to use Advanced Arboriculture for all of our tree needs.
Bonus tip:  Advanced Arboriculture advertises in the Merchandiser mail delivered magazine and offers a great discount ranging from 5-20%, depending on the time of year.  Keep a look out for these to get an even better deal.

Chris did an outstanding job. We received several estimates, but I chose Chris because he was very personable and knowledgeable. I also liked the fact that he came to the house to give the estimate and completed the work himself. Other tree services sent a rep to provide the quote but were not the ones who would perform the work.
