BUT after new roof was put on, the leaks into the inside of the home still occurred. My senior parents tried to get them to come back and fix the problem but they never responded. They ignored calls from my senior parents. They chastized my senior parents for calling them. They bullied my senior parents. Then I find out about this in 2010. Unfortunately, more than 5 years have passed - their contract warranted labor for 5 years. However, the roofing material is warranted for 25 years. My senior parents tried to call this contractor many times in 2003 but the contractor would not respond. They finally hired another roofer to fix the problem - new roofer installed new flashing which fixed the problem. New roofer stated that the flashing they replaced had not been new as stated in 2003 by this contractor but rather looked like original flashing. New roofer gave me copy of this flashing - you can see numerous nail holes which was enough to allow water to leak in and damage inside of the home. Shoddy work by Montgomery Contractors and shameful practices ignoring the repeated calls from senior homeowners. Complaints have been filed with BBB and WTOP - this contractor claims the complaints have been dropped in their favor. THIS IS NOT ACCURATE. WHAT HAS OCCURRED TO DATE IS THAT THIS CONTRACTOR CONTINUES TO IGNORE ANY COMMUNICATION TO THEM - THEREFORE THERE IS OPEN COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM. ALL I WANT IS FOR THEM TO REIMBURSE THE COST OF $625.00 WHICH IS THE COST TO REPLACE THE FLASHING AND A FEW PIECES OF ROOFING SHINGLES. NOT ASKING THEM TO REIMBURSE THE COST OF REPLASTERING LIVING ROOM CEILING AND REPAINTING TO REPAIR DAMAGE CAUSED BY THEIR SHODDY WORK!!
