Found our bedroom suite and in the window there was a small fainting couch which was blocked and unable to get to. We called and made an offer asking about the overhaul condition of the items I was about to purchase. Mr Browning said he was going to check everything and deliver these items himself, guaranteeing the top quality of his shop. Late at night he arrived with his wife and placed the items on our second floor, covering the fainting couch in a storage bedroom for later use. We spoke lengthly about this couch and Mr. Browning went on and on about his honesty and the top quality of this couch, giving a history. His exact words were "I guarantee you this couch is in "Pristine" condition, the most beautiful piece I have ever seen". it stayed in this room until boxes were emptied in the room where it was to be displayed. The day we moved the couch, in the daylight, it was noticed the front of the couch and the back were a obvious marriage you would not see unless you had the item in full sight. We were devastated to say the less. We started making calls to Mr. Browning, before the sale he always answered his phone or got back to us within a short time. Call after call after call to him and his shop and no return calls were received. Finally after a firm message he called and stated he would made this right , he would even come to our home the next week and either show us these couches were always "married" during these times, or if it was a marriage, he would take the couch to some Autumn event in Oakland and it would surely "Sell Quickly" and he would return our money. Well, Mr, Browning never showed, never called to this date. So Mr. Browning is history and so is our $800 for a fainting couch with two different woods and colors.
Description of Work: Shopped Mr. Browning shop looking for a antique bedroom suite, hot summer day, his young daughter was the only one in the store and all negation were made over the phone between Mr. Browning and his daughter. We got back to him later.
